Feast Out Thyme at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur

PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur’s new contemporary all-day dining restaurant Thyme aims to deliver a theatrical culinary experience to guests. Located right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Thyme encourages guests to see its skilled chefs at its seven live stations while offering an array of local and western delights in an upscale food market environment. The gastronomy experience allows guests to sample authentic dishes such as Nyonya Curry Laksa, Butter Chicken Masala, and Hainanese Chicken Rice, as well as fan-favourite Western delicacies including steaks, Fish and Chips, and Chocolate Truffles.

Thyme prides itself on creating flavorful recipes that are meticulously prepared using a variety of locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Thyme also offers an array of healthy options such as Organic Quinoa Salad, Supper Acai Bowl, and Homemade Bircher Muesli. Beyond its fresh ingredients, Thyme incorporates sustainability into the restaurant’s food management practices as well as design, integrating natural materials and forest shades in tandem with the hotel’s brand identity. Thyme has stylish private dining areas for those seeking a more intimate environment making it ideal for small gatherings and even large celebrations.

The Executive Chef of PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur, Khalil Zakhem, and Pastry Chef Mohamed Nazeri are at the centre of this culinary endeavour. Chef Khalil has more than 24 years of expertise in the food industry, having worked in major 5-star hotels and restaurants all around the world, from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur. Chef Khalil, who specialises in international cuisine, combines his international expertise with knowledge of Malaysia’s local flavours.

Thyme is now offering a Fabulous Seafood Buffet priced at RM228 nett per person Friday and Saturday from 6.00pm to 10.30pm (which you can read about here – https://timchew.net/2022/09/27/fabulous-seafood-buffet-at-thyme-at-parkroyal-collection-kuala-lumpur/), where guests can choose from a wide selection of fresh seafood and eat to their heart’s content. 

The Malaysian Buffet High Tea is available every weekend from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for RM148 nett per person and offers a variety of popular local and international foods. Hawker’s Paradise, available from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays, offers a variety of hawker favourites for RM128 nett per person.

Feast Out Thyme is available from Sundays to Thursdays from 6.30pm to 10.30pm, priced at RM178 nett per person. Enjoy delectable dishes from the charcoal tandoor grill, sizzling wok and an a-la-minute pasta counter.

I really enjoyed the Nyonya Laksa which evoked memories of my visits to Malacca. Also worth a mention is the Indian cuisine section which featured a variety of spicy and flavourful Indian dishes! Those who love fresh sushi and sashimi will undoubtedly appreciate the sushi counter!
