L’Occitane en Provence Announces the Return of Its Iconic Amande Sublime Collection

L’Occitane en Provence has reintroduced its Amande Sublime collection, positioning the product range as part of a broader trend towards intentional self-care routines. The collection, which centres on almond as its key ingredient, returns with reformulated products and updated packaging.

Almond trees were once widespread across Provence but declined significantly during the mid-20th century owing to shifts in agricultural priorities and climate pressures. Since 2000, L’Occitane has supported the replanting of more than 500,000 almond trees in southern France, working with local farmers including multi-generational growers on the Valensole plateau.

The brand sources its almonds from Provence, where cultivation follows agroecological practices focused on soil health and biodiversity. L’Occitane states that it uses the whole almond in its formulations: oil for cleansing and nourishment, milk for hydration, and crushed shells for exfoliation.

The flagship product, Amande Sublime Softening Shower Oil, transforms from oil to milky lather upon contact with water. The formula contains 40 per cent natural-origin oils, including almond and grapeseed, and comprises 99 per cent biodegradable ingredients. A refill format reduces packaging weight by up to 81 per cent compared with standard bottles.

The range extends beyond the shower with two additional products. The Supple Skin Oil, formulated with 50 per cent almond oil, is designed to support skin elasticity, with the brand claiming it helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks by up to 44 per cent with regular use. The Smoothing Milk Concentrate targets hydration and skin texture. Both products are available in refill formats.

The collection features refreshed packaging inspired by the curve of an inverted almond. The black cap, engraved with the brand’s monogram, references L’Occitane’s apothecary heritage.

The L’Occitane Group has held B Corporation certification since 2023, a status that encompasses environmental and social performance standards. The Amande Sublime collection reflects this through its sourcing practices, biodegradable formulas and refillable packaging options.

“Today, self-care is not about adding more steps, but about finding meaning in moments we already have. The shower is one of the few daily rituals that allows us to pause. With the Amande Sublime collection, we hope to transform this moment into an experience that feels both sensorial and intentional.”

Ms Elida Wong, General Manager of L’Occitane Southeast Asia & India

The Amande Sublime collection is now available at L’Occitane boutiques and online.
