Chinese New Year Menu at Ti Chen, The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur
Naomi and I recently visited Ti Chen Chinese Restaurant at The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur to try their spread of specialty gourmet dishes available this Chinese New Year. This year, Ti Chen is offering three (3) themed set menu creations namely the Silver and Gold Set, Rich and Affluent Set, and Fortune and Longevity Set, signifying representations of the astrological tradition.
This year’s Chinese/ Lunar New Year menus will be available from 8th January till 8th February 2020 from 12 pm to 3 pm (lunch), and 6 pm to 10 pm (dinner). Ti Chen will be open daily during the festive period except on the first day of Chinese New Year (25 January 2020).
“We are excited about our special menu created for our guests this year, highlighting the abundance set menu style meal packages of Silver and Gold, Rich and Affluent, and Fortune and Longevity, targeting corporate clients, families and friends to toss and celebrate the mark of another wonderful season,” says Chef Lim Chee Woi, Chinese Executive Chef. “2020 is set to be a year filled with luck, growth and prosperity”. Symbolic of good luck, prosperity, health and all things auspicious, toss to “Loh Hei” with Ti Chen.
The set meal packages for five to ten people cover a full range of time-honoured favourites including Roasted Sesame with Cracker and Green Chilli Sauce Chicken, Salmon and Snow Pear Yee Sang with Crispy Shredded Treasure and Blackcurrant-Plum dressing, Mini Steam Glutinous Rice wrapped in Lotus Leaf with Dried Oyster, Wok Fried Sea Prawn with Butter and Egg Yolk in traditional style Chilled Lemon Grass Jelly with Yuzu Sorbet, and much more.
The meal packages are offered with a bottle of Jacob’s Creek Shiraz or Free Flow of Soft Drinks for three hours. The Rich and Affluent Set, and the Fortune and Longevity Set come with one (1) bottle of Glenlivet Captain’s Reserve, or Berry Bros. and Rudd Classic Sherry Cask.
The price for set meal packages ranges from RM1,788 for the Silver and Gold Set, RM2,088 for the Rich and Affluent Set and RM 3,088 for the Fortune and Longevity Set, inclusive of service charge and government taxes.
To commemorate the Chinese New Year festivities, the Saujana Hotel will host a lion dance performance in the lobby area at 10.30am on 30 January 2020.
