[Valentine’s Day Dining Special]

I was so impressed that I decided to return to try their upcoming Valentine’s Day menu, this time with Joanne in tow. The Valentine’s Day dinner menu at Cedar on 15 is priced at RM580+ per couple (inclusive of free flow of wine and sparkling wine) and will be available at Cedar on 15 on 14 February 2019 from 7.00pm – 10.30pm.
Cesar on 15 is located on the 15th floor of Impiana KLCC Hotel and faces KLCC, offering diners a panoramic view of the Kuala Lumpur city skyline, while you enjoy free flow of wine and sparkling wine before/ after your romantic Valentine’s Day dinner. (Kindly note that there are a handful of tables outside in the al fresco dining area should you wish to have a view while dining however as it’s pretty warm in Kuala Lumpur, I rather advise against it. Dine in the main dining area then head to the open air bar/ lounge area to enjoy the view, snap some photos, etc. etc.)
Chef’s Amuse Bouche
Lobster Bisque Cappuccino
with sea salt foam and afilla cress, and a tortellini
Oh wow! I just loved the lobster bisque shooter which was just bursting with umami flavours! An excellent start to the meal!
Squinting Eyes Octopus Carpaccio
with caviar and arugula
This was the most Instagrammable dish of the evening and it tasted as good as it looked! Continuing with the seafood theme, the appetiser featured the octopus which was complemented with the caviar, with the slightly earthy flavours of the arugula to contrast against it.
Soup – Fall in Love
Beetroot soup with baby burrata and sour crème
Now I personally really dislike beetroot however I finished every last drop of this soup! Thanks to the creamy baby burrata and the touch of sour creme, it really didn’t have the very strong beetroot taste which can be quite overwhelming. Nice presentation too!

Main Course (choice of)
New Zealand Lamb Loin
served with vegetable timbale, brown lentils, roasted pimento and sage sauce
A really tender lamb loin which was gently sous vide for many hours, retaining the nutrients as well as making the meat really tender and juicy! Pimentos are not too common here (bell peppers are more widely available) so I was somewhat surprised to see it on the menu). It gave a nice bit of acidity and bite to balance out the flavours of the dish.
A well thought through and hearty (thanks to the brown lentils so no need to pack McDonald’s on the way home tonight) main dish. If you eat lamb, I highly recommend this main!

(We didn’t try this so can’t give any comments.)
Strawberry Ice Cream
with mascarpone and salsa cream
I must say that Cedar on 15 is very generous with strawberries as there are many hidden inside the glass! I’m not really a dessert person however I dug out every last strawberry and ate them! A nice not overly sweet end to a lovely meal.
Heart-shaped pralines with rose petals
Wash these down with coffee or tea…

Kindly note that the Valentine’s Day menu can be customised for vegetarians. Also, the dishes in the menu do not contain alcohol.
