Samsung Malaysia Electronics announced on 12 October 2017 that their newly launched Galaxy Note Fan Edition will be available to purchase in Malaysia from 25 October 2017. The new smartphone is designed to deliver all key Galaxy Note features especially for the dedicated Note community, and is a new device that has been engineered with unused components from the Galaxy Note7.
“The Galaxy Note Fan Edition is Samsung’s way of showing its commitment to Note fans. We work very closely with dedicated specialists to reuse and recycle unused components from the Note7 to form the Galaxy Note Fan Edition. This is also our way of lessening the carbon footprint for our future generation. We would like to say thank you to our loyal Note fans for continuously supporting us through thick and thin. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition is for you”, said Mr KM Liew, Head of IT and Mobile Business, Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
The Galaxy Note Fan Edition is an entirely new device that inherits the design and innovative functions, offering the same productivity and entertainment features of the Note7. This includes an enhanced S Pen with a pen tip of 0.7mm, which gives the sensation of a real pen to give users a smoother writing experience. The S Pen is also useful in translating foreign languages online, and a hover-over function to translate words directly into the desired language.
Galaxy Note Fan Edition users can unlock their smartphone using biometric authentication technologies such as iris and fingerprint recognition, allowing for a more secure login. Similar to Samsung’s flagship offerings of late, the Galaxy Note Fan Edition comes equipped with ‘Bixby Home’ and ‘Bixby Reminder’ to assist users in daily tasks and elevate the smartphone experience. If you’re the clumsy type, fret not as the smartphone comes with an IP68 rating, with both the body and S Pen dust and water-resistant to a maximum depth of 5 feet for up to 30 minutes.
Compared with the Note7, the Galaxy Note Fan Edition has an upgraded processor, and a new and safe 3,200mAh battery which is compliant with Samsung’s 8 point safety check. The device has also met the safety standards of the relevant industry and regulatory bodies and has been reviewed by leading independent quality assurance experts.
The key aesthetic features that set the Galaxy Note Fan Edition apart are its symmetrical edge design and its ‘Fan Edition’ logo on the back. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition is available in 2 colours including Coral Blue and Black Onyx.
Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition will be available from 25 October 2017 onwards at all Samsung Experience Stores, authorised dealers and selected channel partners, retailing at the price of RM2,599.00 inclusive of GST.
