Buffet Dinner at Lemon Garden, Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur
I rarely do reviews on buffets any more (I do the odd one for Ramadan buffets) as I’m more into quality food rather than quantity of dishes however when Lemon Garden at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur invited I delightfully accepted as the restaurant is pretty well-known for its fresh seafood selection at its buffet, and of course their seafood lunch buffet on Saturday.
Besides fresh seafood, the restaurant is also known for its extensive buffet selections and live kitchens where local and international specialities are prepared a la minute. The buffet spread features local and international specialities from Malay, Chinese, Italian, Indian, Thai, Japanese and Western cuisine.

Saturday Seafood Lunch Buffet
On Saturdays, seafood lovers are in for a treat. The Seafood Lunch Buffet features an array of fresh seafood and comes with free flow of soft drinks and chilled juices at RM 198nett per person.
The fresh seafood selection on a normal night is already pretty impressive! The food selection overall caters to both an Eastern and Western palate however I was actually more drawn to the local/ Asian food (which is unusual because I normally prefer Western food) as the dishes were pretty delicious – even seemingly ordinary dishes like roast duck and chicken and the various curries! Not to say that the Western selection wasn’t delicious though just that the local/ Asian dishes were somewhat more outstanding!
There’s also a gluten-free dishes section for those who have that dietary requirement, and you can also consult the chefs there as there are also various other gluten-free dishes (not in the gluten-free section) in the other sections. I found the staff to be most polite, friendly and helpful during my visit (and most did not know I was there for a review). The seating area is huge and I liked the fact that the food was constantly replenished meaning that you don’t have to wait for your favourite items to be refilled.
The dinner buffet at Lemon Garden at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur is from 6.30pm to 10.30pm daily. Lunch buffet is from 12noon to 2.30pm on weekdays and 12noon to 3pm on weekends.
