Headed over to BBP in Bandar Utama with Kassey and Denise for “A Shucking Good Time, Fresh Oysters & Wine Pairing” by Boozeat.com on 13 August 2016. The event featured live fresh U.S. oysters paired with Wolf Blass Bilyara Sauvignon Blanc. The wine was a fresh, bright Sauvignon Blanc with lifted, fruity aromas of passionfruit, grapefruit, guava and gooseberry. The palate is light-bodied, clean and crisp, with juicy tropical flavours and a lingering fruit finish, and is best enjoyed while young and fresh.

Boozeat.com is an online website where you can purchase genuine wines, liquor and even beers at prices lower than most hypermarkets/ supermarkets. For wines, look out for well-known brands such as Jacob’s Creek, Cloudy Bay as well as Moet & Chandon and GH Mumm for bubbly. There’s also a selection of not so commercial wines, and premium wines.

For whisky lovers, there’s a good selection of single malt whiskies including Yamazaki, Hibiki and Nikka from Japan, and Auchentoshan, and Bowmore from Scotland. There are also blended whiskies like Johnnie Walker, Chivas Regal and Monkey Shoulder (my current favourite blended malt!).

Under the liquor section, some outstanding brands/ variants are Hennessy, Monkey 47 gin, Hendrick’s Gin, Beluga Vodka, Grey Goose, as well as some rum, tequila and liquers. For beer lovers, you can purchase the brews under the Carlsberg Malaysia portfolio like Carlsberg (green label), Asahi Super Dry, Kronenbourg 1664, as well as Somersby cider.

There’s even free delivery for orders above RM100. You can even opt to book a party pack which consists of live U.S. oysters or salmon sashimi with wines and your own personal oyster shucker.
