DIOR’s new “Runway” bag made its debut in the ready-to-wear Autumn-Winter 2016-2017 show recently. The new creation from DIOR comes entirely embroidered with beads and sequins, in precious skins, or bearing the emblematic Cannage motif. Its architectural, singular lines makes it a timeless design. Its short and wide strap allows for it to be worn two ways: on the shoulder giving a sense of sophisticated allure, or carried giving a relaxed look.
The Runway bag is a product of the 30 Avenue Montaigne Design Studios in Paris and Italian leatherworking savoir-faire, handmade in an atelier located a few kilometers from Florence. The passionate expert artisans practice the most exacting craftsmanship, with masterful techniques such as manipulating the leather, manually constructing the handles, and assembling the bag in the traditional manner around a wooden form.
