All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum at Dynasty Restaurant, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel

[Hotel Happenings]

Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel Dynasty Dim Sum (3)

My partner in crime and I headed over to Dynasty Chinese Restaurant at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel to try out their new All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum (which FYI is non-halal). The made-to-order all-you-can-eat Dim Sum features a selection of over 30 items (you can refer to the list below) and is priced at RM88nett per person with half price for children aged 6 to 12 years old.

Chef Chong Foo Tuck who has over 30 years of culinary experience, makes all the dim sum from scratch daily, using only high quality and fresh ingredients. The choices range from steamed, baked and deep-fried dim sum to a variety of congee. Some of the signature items are the Steamed Shanghai dumpling simmered in superior stock, Emerald dumpling topped with fresh scallop, Steamed ‘cheong fun’ filled with honey glazed pork, and Chef Chong’s line-up of 9 signature Dim Sum including Wok-fried radish cake with shrimps and bean sprout, Seafood roulade with bamboo pith and Signature chive biscuit.

My partner in crime enjoyed the steamed Shanghai dumpling simmered in superior stock which should be eaten while it is still hot – tear the dumpling on its side and slurp the soup before devouring the rest of the dumpling. As she was rather under the weather that day, she enjoyed the very heartwarming broth that came with the dish. She also enjoyed the Emerald Dumpling with a whole scallop on a bed of shrimp and sprinkled with ‘tako’ flakes.

My favourite has to be the deep-fried dim sum. Crispy but not drenched in oil and with a great deal of filling. I just couldn’t stop eating them and really wished that it wasn’t a working day so that I could have some ice-cold beer to go with it.

There are also various credit card promotions where you can get further discount on the All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum dining experience.

This decadent feast is available Mondays to Saturdays from 12.00noon to 2.30pm and Sundays and public holidays from 9.30am to 2.30pm until 31 August 2016.
