Moët launched its new variant – the Moet Nectar Impérial with an exclusive launch party held in Providence Club, Kuala Lumpur on 8 May 2015. Arriving at the venue, we took the opportunity to take some pics at the photo wall which had a nice setup with a sofa and bottles of the new Moet Nectar Imperial then proceeded inside the club where loads of Moet Nectar Imperial was awaiting us. To my surprise, the serving ritual included the Moët Nectar Impérial being served in large blue champagne glasses with ice cubes; which the guys from Moet Hennessy Diageo Malaysia said actually brought out the exotic flavours of the champagne. Well…fine with me as Malaysia is so warm anyway, ice cold champagne is always welcome!

He is as good looking and trim as he was 6 years ago, and all the girls at the party wanted to take a photo with him. Probably something to do with him being French too. Perks of the job…
“Moët Nectar Impérial is the boldest and most unexpected expression of Moët & Chandon style, exemplifying the House’s elegance and innovation. This daring champagne carries the expression of exoticness, richness and liveliness. We are proud to showcase a new method of consumption to champagne lovers in Malaysia” said Mr Arnaud Mirey, Regional Brand Ambassador of Moët Hennessy Asia Pacific who graced the debut of Moët Nectar Impérial.
The highlight of the party was the launch gambit, which featured blazing sparklers and the Moët Nectar Impérial’s entourage, all dressed to impress in burlesque-inspired blue outfits.. The star for the night, the Moët Nectar Imperial Luminous Ice Box filled with bottles of Moët Nectar Impérial was then revealed to the guests.

DJ and blogger Jane Chuck aka Chuckei played a set, while Kuala Lumpur socialites, Carey Ng, Lee Yvonne, Roen Cian Nagapan, Dennis Lau, Peter Davis added some glam to the whole affair.
Moët Nectar Impérial is the boldest and most unexpected expression of Moët & Chandon style, exemplifying the House’s elegance and innovation. Moët Nectar Impérial’s colour is yellow, with slight variations of gold, while its aromas are generous and rich with tropical fruits such as pineapples and mangoes. There are also hints of stone fruits, such as maribelle plums and apricots, with slight hints of malt grain. On the nose, the aromas of sweet spices such as cinnamon and vanilla adds to the desire and draw of the champagne.
Nectar Impérial’s assemblage is built on the structure of Pinot Noir (40 to 50%), the flesh of Pinot Meunier (30 to 40%) and the freshness of Chardonnay (10 to 20%). The use of 20% to 30% of carefully selected reserve wines complete the assemblage and enhance its intensity, richness and consistency.

Moët Nectar Impérial is available in 75cl in selected premium clubs and retail outlets across Malaysia.
