Headed over to El Meson in Bangsar Baru for the trial run of their Pintxos brunch promo. The little trial run was to see if customers would accept this new concept of brunch and ran from 9.00am to 3.00pm on a bright and sunny Saturday afternoon. A pincho or pintxo is a small snack, typically eaten in bars, traditional in northern Spain, and El Meson decided to try offering the snacks sold per portion so that you could sample many different types of pintxos.

We decided to line up all our plates for this pic! Good thing we were all rather hungry!
Various types of Spanish omelette or tortilla which have Spanish potatoes inside them. Apart from the eggs and potatoes, they can also have a variety of ingredients including my favourite chorizo!

I really couldn’t get enough of this one. Just wished I had ordered some beer to go with it!

After the heavy brunch, I needed something to get me out of the food coma and this Spanish coffee did the trick!
Overall I thought the food was pretty tasty (I had my favourites of course) and I hope El Meson will have this event on a regular basis. Perhaps once a month? It’s a good opportunity to try lots of different items without breaking the bank.
