[Food & Beverage]
Now you guys are used to well me writing the post but for a change I thought it would be nice to get May herself to share her perspective with you (in dark blue font) so here goes:
While I was back in KL recently, I took the opportunity to catch up with my old childhood friend for ice cream at the new Inside Scoop in Bangsar Baru, Kuala Lumpur.
I’ve read some positive reviews about this place, therefore I thought it was a good opportunity to check it out with him- despite raining cats and dogs on both the times that we were there together (Tim: Yes we went twice as we so impressed during our first visit that we just had to go again the following weekend)!
My first impression was that it was a tiny (Inside Scoop occupies half a shop lot) but pretty and comfortable café to sit back to have good quality ice cream and relax. The interior, furniture, décor, outdoor setting had been designed to be simplistic. There were a couple of sofas for chilling, while the rest of the furniture were low tables and chairs which were more suitable for dining on your waffles.

OK THIS PLATE OF WAFFLES, WITH DURIAN AND CHEMPEDAK ICE CREAM was MIND BLOWER for me. It was fricking aaawesome!!!
Tim was so kind, because I think I ate most of it. I love waffles and I’m a bit of a waffle connoisseur. It was such a delight and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ice cream was good too (Inside Scoop makes their own ice cream) and had loads of durian and cempedak taste.

The place is rather small and it can get full quickly especially during weekend afternoons but fret not as you can order your ice cream to take away then stroll around the Telawi area window shopping while enjoying your ice cream!
If you’re a coffee person, you’d be pleased to know that they serve some decent Illy coffee to go with your waffles and ice cream. Or if coffee is not your thing there are also teas and soft drinks. Plain water is complimentary and is self service.

Overall, I adored the cute interior, ice cream is great (Tim and I strongly recommend the Chempedak and Durian). Service was good and the waffles were awesome, and I’ll definitely be returning!

After tea, we still had a little time to spare therefore we strolled down the row to Reliance Optical Centre to check out their new range of frames and sunnies.
