McCafé Celebrates 50th Outlet Milestone

If you’ve noticed, over the past year various McDonald’s outlets in key urban and even a couple of slightly rural areas have been renovating. This is to accommodate the new McCafé in the outlet which is a concept that originated in Melbourne, Australia where McDonald’s created its first café inside an existing restaurant in 1993.

In 2006, McDonald’s Malaysia successfully introduced Premium Roast Coffee into its menu offering and is freshly brewed with the McCafé blend, using 100% Arabica beans, that comes with your McValue breakfast sets. Finally in 2012, McDonald’s finally brought in the McCafe concept to Malaysia. Coffee lovers rejoice as we can now get quality yet affordable coffee at 50 McDonald’s outlets all around the country!

McCafe uses only premium 100% Arabica beans which are medium roasted and freshly ground to maintain its flavours to make their coffees. Beverages like cappuccino, latte, espresso, macchiato, frappé and hot chocolate are made by the professionally trained baristas and are available from 7.00am to 12 midnight daily.

McDonald’s launched its 50th McCafé at McDonald’s Bandar Puteri Puchong Drive Thru earlier this month, barely 18 months after the first McCafe was launched in McDonald’s Kota Damansara.

So to celebrate the occasion, McDonald’s is giving 50% off (selected) beverages at McCafe outlets on 14th and 15th December 2013 and I will reveal how you can enjoy this special promotion after this little story about my visit to the first McCafe in Malaysia which is in McDonald’s Kota Damansara.

Each McCafé coffee is crafted from premium 100% Arabica coffee beans grown in the equatorial terrains known as the Coffee Belt. The beans are medium roasted to perfection, then freshly ground with every order. This is no Nescafe or Kopi Peng, McCafe really takes the effort to deliver good yet affordable coffee to you!
