Asahi Super Dry is all about meeting new people, being immersed in the different kinds of elements from around the world and having a great night out with people who share the same interests, and Asahi Super Dry has been deemed the fastest growing premium beer in its category, with double-digit growth that has outranked other premium beers in the Malaysian market.
The Club Asahi series was specially conceptualized in 2012 with the aim to bring unique themes and enigmatic experiences from the most dynamic and exciting metropolises around the world right into the heart of some of Malaysia’s hottest venues, and as MHB was there for the first two parties we knew that it was definitely going to be a night to remember!
Starting off the night was a delicious dinner in Signature by The Hill in The Roof (amazingly this was my 7th visit to The Roof since it’s preview), followed by the press conference to introduce the artistes at Stratosphere, before heading to PLAY where the main party was held.

It was a pretty clear night and we got a great view of Damansara and beyond from Stratosphere at The Roof. Then it was time to head to the party!Love the uniforms!MHB’s Sarah, Valerie and Stephanie Lim with the Asahi girls at the photowallStephinie Tan was the MC for the nightThe main act of the night was Swanky Tunes from Russia, who took over after the opening set by DJ Eva T, who is part of the Asahi Super Dry All-Stars collective. Swanky Tunes had always experimented with different electronic styles in pursuit of their own sound, and gave clubbers in PLAY a dose of techno, before moving into a big-beat influenced sound.Sexy dancers on the podium undoubtedly stole a lot of the clubbers’ attention. While the night was extra special for me as the nice folks at Asahi Malaysia got me a boxful of cupcakes to celebrate my birthday! These proved really useful later in the night as everyone got hungry and by the end of the night there were none left!A pic with Henrik Andersen of Carlsberg Malaysia who remarked earlier during the night that “Asahi Super Dry, Japan’s No.1 premium beer around the world has put together this platform for electronic dance music enthusiasts to enjoy a night that ignites endless possibilities. The Club Asahi concept was meant to bring unique themes and enigmatic experiences from the most dynamic and exciting metropolises around the world right into the heart of some of Malaysia’s hottest clubbing venues. This final event was a climax for the Club Asahi series in 2013 and an establishment of Asahi Super Dry’s accomplishments in such a short period of time.”MHB’s Karen Kho and Adrienne OhMHB’s Naomi Tham with DJ Bento who also partied with usHere’s a pic for you ladies – Andy Kho with DJ Bento, Carl Graham and their friend.Elooise with an Asahi girlUs with Calvin Khoo the brand manager of Asahi in Malaysia.Estelle, Sarah, Michelle and Steph
