It Starts With You

In my line of work, I often meet captains of industry, celebrities, models and lots of beautiful women. It’s important that I always look my best as you only have one chance to make a first impression.

What do I mean by good first impression? Well it mainly comes down to good personal grooming and dressing (not trying to say I’m the best dressed or best groomed just that at least I ensure that I look presentable in public).

Now imagine this scenario – who would you rather talk to:

A male entrepreneur spotting sleazy looking eye shadow and bright red pants, or a consultant wearing sunglasses at an indoor event

A professional who is properly groomed and smartly dressed for the occasion.

If you were a client or a boss or a girl who would you rather meet? Well the answer is obvious as many girls have reacted in disgust to the former example.

As I mentioned earlier, I meet a lot of female models and models being models like to do the whole cheek to cheek greeting which is why I always cleanse my face three times a day to ensure that it is as oil free as possible.

Also don’t forget to shave or if you are spotting a moustache or beard, do trim it properly, shampoo your hair daily, keep your nails trimmed and clean, shower, use deodorant, and wear clothes that compliment you and suit the occasion. Those are the basics and every man should be doing that.

After all girls go through much more trouble and put in way more effort to keep themselves looking good…

When is it too much?

The term “metrosexual” gained popularity in the last 10 years or so and is to describe urban men that pay a lot of attention to their grooming, dressing and appearance, typically spending a nice sum to keep themselves looking attractive.

I personally think there’s nothing wrong with being a little “metrosexual”. Just remember of course that what’s underneath matters more and that a well-groomed appearance is just a way to meet new people and allow them to discover the true you. Good character and ethics counts just a much as a good complexion!

But what happens when a guy takes it too far and becomes obsessed with his looks it and regards himself as superior looking as compared to other guys that becomes vanity. Now remarkably I do know some guys who are terribly vain. The best part is that they are not at all good looking.  Heck one guy got terribly ridiculed on social media because he posted up a half naked photo of his skinny scrawny body at the gym and commented on how fit and muscular he was. Fortunately the more sane members of society didn’t agree…

Moral of the story – guys, while it is important to pay attention to grooming don’t’ go overboard to the extent that you become a vain pot.

So now that it’s pretty clear that girls prefer men who take care of themselves, its time to make a small difference to your life, start to look good and feel good, and let the girls come to you?

One of the steps to get a great looking and non-oily complexion is cleansing. Cleansing is important because it cleanses your skin to unclog all dirt, oil and impurities from your skin. It refreshes your skin and makes you look good and feel good.
