[Sponsored Review]

As you may recall, not too long ago I reviewed a Jabra Bluetooth handsfree called tha Jabra Tag which looks like a military dogtag (you can read about that here –

Jabra is a global producer of innovative headset and speakerphone solutions and is owned by parent company GN Store Nord from Denmark. Jabra launched the world’s first Bluetooth headset for mobile phones back in 2000 and since then has been producing lots of cool products for consumers.

Their headset range has repeatedly been recognized as the gold standard in innovation and design, and they have received numerous product and design awards, including the CES Innovation, the iF product design award, a Red Dot Mobile Choice Best Accessory, the T3 Gold award and CNET Editor’s Choice.

This time round my new toy is the Jabra STONE3, the third generation of the Jabra STONE series, which offers sleekness, style and elegance of form combined with superior sound quality, portability and easy-to-use controls.

The set comes with the earpiece. housing/ Power2go portable charger, charging cable, eargels, adapter and instruction manual.

Through the Jabra STONE3, you get to talk on the phone while driving, and access a wide array of media content, stream music, listen to podcasts and GPS directions easily and safely. With Near Field Communication Technology (NFC) technology embedded into the housing unit which is called the Power2go portable charger, it’s super easy to connect to other NFC enabled devices using one touch pairing.

The Jabra STONE3 is shaped like no other headset in the market, and looks extremely cool on both males and females unlike those geeky looking devices of the past. Made of flexible material with a curved design, it wraps discreetly around the right ear and away from the face. With a personalized fit from a selection of four comfort ear gels, Jabra STONE3 is also a great companion for users with larger phones and mobile devices. Providing flexibility, efficiency and convenience through audible Caller ID alerts, you won’t even need to touch your phones to take or reject calls – simply use Voice Commands to “Answer” or “Ignore” the incoming call.

With its unique Power2go portable charger, you can enjoy up to 10 hours talk time on just 20 minutes of charging. When you’re done using the Bluetooth headset simply put it back into the portable charger and it will charge it back to full power for you (while there’s remaining power in the charger of course).

Jabra has pushed the envelope for the perfect balance of functionality, ease-of-use and design, and the Jabra STONE3 also features HD Voice and Jabra Noise Blackout microphone technology. for outstanding quality. No longer will wind and background noise affect what other’s hear on the other end of the conversation.

There’s also a new smartphone app with the handy ‘Find My Jabra’ feature available to help users locate their headsets (by actually telling them where the headset was last used) thereby reducing the risk of headset being lost or misplaced.

The Jabra Stone3 is super light at only 7 grams and you’ll barely feel it on your ear.
The set has been ergonomically designed so that you won’t feel an intrusive object in your ear unlike those early day Bluetooth headsets.

Here are some of the important features and specifications of the Jabra STONE3:

• Effortlessly connect two Bluetooth enabled devices at the same time with advanced MultiuseTM capabilities

• Bluetooth technology – easy pairing with Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR & eSCO

• Talk Time: Up to 10 hours with the STONE3 Charger: 2 hours in the headset and up to 8 hours in the charger.

• Standby Time: Up to 15 days

• Four ergo-designed Eargels ensuring all-day comfort for different ear shapes and sizes

• Range: Up to 10 metres

• Jabra StatusDisplay LEDTM LED battery and Bluetooth

The Stone3 is very user friendly as the voice instruction will guide you as well as inform you of who is calling so you don’t need to look at your phone’s screen.
Looks good even on girls!

In fact people will hardly notice it
How do you control the volume as there’s only one multi-function button? Hahaha! You simply need to run your finger up (for louder) or down (for softer) the area on the headset right above the multi-function button! How cool is that right?

Tomcat says – the Jabra Stone3 is one awesome package. A single charge gives you hours and hours of use and it’s great for people like me who are often out and about, driving from event to event or meeting to meeting. It’s really light so you’ll barely notice it’s there and the speaker volume is loud enough so you won’t need to strain to hear what the other person on the line is saying.

After the first pairing you won’t need to manually pair or keep pairing using NFC. It just pairs automatically in a couple of seconds when your phone’s Bluetooth is switched on. Do yourself a favour and be safe while driving, and save money avoiding getting summoned by the cops by getting yourself this really handy device.

The Jabra Stone3 retails in white or black at RRP RM499.00 at All IT Hypermarket, Challenger stores, Apple premium resellers Machines, Charlie Cellular, Connect Store and other authorised Jabra resellers.

Do check out other Jabra devices such as the Jabra Tag, Jabra Play, Jabra Revo Wireless, Jabra Revo Corded and Jabra Vox.
