Attended the ABSOLUT HIBISKUS Merdeka Eve Party on 30 August 2013 at the newly renovated Poppy Garden in Kuala Lumpur which also featured the launch of the first-ever floral-flavoured vodka to hit Malaysian shores. ABSOLUT HIBISKUS was introduced by Pernod Ricard Malaysia to celebrate Malaysia’s Independence Day and Malaysia Day, and pays homage to Malaysia’s national flower and celebrates the distinctive mix of Malaysia.
Can you actually believe ABSOLUT made a vodka just for us Malaysians? That’s pretty cool and not something common but ABSOLUT is a brand that doesn’t shy away from innovation and creativity.
Good thing I headed into town early as later in the night the streets around KLCC were choked with revellers there to watch the fireworks.

The artists were: Michelle Lim who makes her various artworks come to life on paper, sometimes with a digital edge; Tan Howe Qin who focuses on experimenting with white, grey & black & playing with electronics; Hyacinthe Kaur whose major influences in her designs have been cultural in nature specifically Native American Indian and Hindu; and Abs Lee a self-taught monster illustrator who explores creating wacky illustrations.

Three (3) more in-outlet events celebrating ABSOLUT HIBISKUS will be held including Luna Bar KL, and Mois Penang, with the finale at The View, KL. Pernod Ricard Asia will also be unveiling the world’s first ABSOLUT Brand Store at KLIA on 27 September 2013.
