[Event]
Remember my post about the new Heineken bottle? If not you can read about it here – https://timchew.net/2012/07/03/upcoming-event-heineken-new-bottle-launch/
I’ve seen DJ Ferry Corsten before and I was looking forward to seeing him play again so I was counting the days to the event. Well finally it was 11 July 2012 which was the day of the party so off I went to KL Live with Malaysia’s Hottest Bloggers Chammaine, Stephanie, Naomi, Esther and Adrienne.
The invite-only launch party was attended by celebrities from the art, entertainment and music scene. KL Live was thumping with more than 1,000 guests ranging from local celebrities, DJs, fashionistas, members of the press, selected contest winners and Heineken trade partners. “It’s an intelligent bottle”, “It’s sexy”, “The best party in town” are some of the comments which I heard at the photowall where guests gave their comments to the videocam after their first glimpse of the new bottle.
I was rather thirsty so I hurried inside after a quick pic at the photowall.
Hosted by VJ Utt (cue screams from girls), the party venue was transformed into a Heineken super-club featuring LED equalizer displays, video mapping projections and topped off with Heineken’s good hospitality and entertainment.

Finally after sets by the opening DJs, the highlight of the night DJ Ferry Corsten started his performance which featured laser projections and some pretty cool graphics! Ferry Corsten and Heineken partnership goes way back to 2003 when Ferry’s music career grew immediately after his debut of ‘Right of Way’ album launched at the Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam. Nine years down the line, it was only fitting that both were reunited for the one night only for the launch of the new Heineken iconic bottle.

What’s in store for consumers?
“You’ve seen the new bottle, you’ve enjoyed its unmistakable taste but the Heineken celebration does not end here. The Heineken ‘Progressive Tour’ is officially kicked off after tonight. We will be embarking on a journey to Penang, Ipoh and Johore to bring the celebration to our consumers in the other regions in Malaysia,” said Yap Swee Leng, marketing director of Guinness Anchor Berhad.
