Embraer announced on 18 September 2026 that it has delivered the first Praetor 600E to Flexjet, making the fractional aircraft operator the fleet launch customer for the manufacturer’s next-generation super-midsize business jet.
Embraer said the aircraft is fitted with its Smart Window, a 42-inch 4K OLED monitor that supports video conferencing and high-resolution video streaming, and shows a real-time view from three externally mounted cameras. Embraer describes the feature as exclusive to its aircraft. Flexjet selected the Smart Window for the inaugural delivery.
The delivery is the latest milestone under an agreement the two companies announced in February 2025, valued at up to USD 7 billion. Embraer said the agreement includes a firm order for 182 aircraft, options for a further 30 and an enhanced services and support arrangement. Flexjet will also become fleet launch customer for the Praetor 500E when it takes its first delivery of that model in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Embraer unveiled the Praetor 600E alongside the Praetor 500E in February 2026, introducing a series of enhancements to the customer experience. The company said the 600E received certification from Brazil’s ANAC, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in April 2026. The 500E followed in June 2026, paving the way for both aircraft to enter service.
“We are proud to once again deliver the inaugural Praetor 600E aircraft to Flexjet, a trusted strategic partner for more than 20 years. This milestone reflects the strength of our longstanding relationship, the winning combination of next-generation features onboard the Praetor 600E.”
Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets
Michael Silvestro, Flexjet’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “This milestone delivery continues a success story we have had with Embraer Executive Jets that began back in 2003.” He said fractional aircraft owners “look to Flexjet to provide access to the world’s most advanced aircraft.”
The companies’ relationship dates to 2003. It includes Flexjet’s selection as fleet launch customer for the Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 in 2019, which Embraer cited alongside the February 2025 agreement.
Embraer claims the Praetor 600E has an intercontinental range of 4,018 nautical miles (7,441 km) with four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves. The company said this allows nonstop flights between major city pairs, including London to New York and São Paulo to Miami.
The aircraft is powered by two Honeywell HTF7500E engines. Embraer said it can operate from challenging airports, citing Ocean Reef in Florida and Santa Monica in California as examples. The cabin altitude is 5,800 feet.
The 600E has a redesigned cabin with new Embraer-designed seating and an updated Cabin Management System (CMS). Embraer said the CMS provides controls for lighting, temperature, entertainment and connectivity. Optional features include voice command integration, Bluetooth audio, wireless charging and RGB mood lighting. The cabin also has upper tech panels and Ka-band connectivity.
The redesigned seats have electric-assist functions to make seat movement easier, and a new lounge position intended for extended comfort on long flights. Embraer said improved seat berthing makes converting the cabin for rest faster and easier.
When the Smart Window is paired with an optional divan configuration, Embraer said, it creates a space that can be used for work and entertainment. The company describes it as turning the second cabin zone into a hub for productivity and entertainment. The galley has also been redesigned, with more volume and stowage, for longer missions.
On the flight deck, the aircraft has full fly-by-wire controls with active turbulence reduction, which Embraer says no other super-midsize jet offers. It also has the Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS) and the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS). Embraer said the avionics are intended to support smoother flights, lower pilot workload, better situational awareness and wider operational flexibility.
