Grand Opening of “Lukfook Joaillerieat Tun Razak Exchange

Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited, a leading retailer of gold, platinum, and gem-set jewelry with a presence in over 11 countries and regions through its 3,320 stores, recently celebrated a significant milestone in Southeast Asia. On 13 April 2024, they held the grand opening of their first “Lukfook Joaillerie” store in Malaysia. Located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s international financial district, Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), the new store adds to the district’s already impressive collection of over 400 international brands. This strategic placement positions Lukfook Joaillerie to become a key player in Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant shopping scene and social hub.

The opening ceremony was a grand affair, graced by esteemed guests including Mr. Chan Kah Hui, Deputy President of the Federation of Goldsmith And Jewellers Association Of Malaysia, and Mr Trevor Hill, The Exchange TRX General Manager. Representing LukFook Group were Ms. Wong Hau Yeung, Shirley (Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer), Mr. Cheung Cheuk Kin, Billy (Senior Business Director), Mr. Cheung Chi Keung, Darwin (Deputy Director of Property), and Ms. Kan Lee Ling, Wendy (Lukfook Jewellery in Charge of Malaysia). Together, they celebrated this significant moment that marks LukFook Group’s continued expansion and commitment to the Southeast Asian market.

Chef Kazuhiko, a native of the charming seaside city of Fukuoka, brings over three decades of culinary mastery honed at prestigious restaurants and luxury hotels across Japan. His journey began in the bustling kitchens of Tokyo, where he steadily rose through the ranks, solidifying his reputation as a culinary force. Seeking to broaden his horizons, Chef Kazuhiko ventured to southern France, immersing himself in the art of Gallic cuisine. This experience would later influence his culinary approach, leading him to Hokkaido, where he created a unique fusion of Japanese and French flavours. Throughout his career, Chef Kazuhiko has captained the kitchens of various luxury establishments, leaving his mark on the culinary landscape of Japan.

Families can now experience the magic of Japanese cuisine together at Zipangu by Nadaman, the renowned restaurant within the luxurious Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. Their new “Taste of Zipangu” family set menu, available during weekend lunches, promises a delightful culinary journey designed to create lasting memories.

This exclusive offering caters to all ages. Executive Chef Takizawa has crafted a menu featuring both a “Junior Bento” for children and a “Zipangu Sharing Platter” for adults. The Junior Bento is a whimsical feast, featuring favorites like chicken sausages, Yakitori skewers, and crispy prawns, all presented in a playful and engaging way. Adorable rice sculptures add a touch of fun, ensuring every bite is an adventure.

The Zipangu Sharing Platter allows families to savour the flavours of Japan together. This centerpiece showcases signature dishes like the indulgent Dragon Roll, succulent grilled Teriyaki Cubes, and flavourful black cod with Saikyo Miso. Priced at RM88 nett for the Junior Bento and RM280 nett for the sharing platter, this set menu offers a delicious and affordable way to introduce the whole family to Japanese cuisine.

The excitement extends beyond the food. On Sundays, young diners can participate in origami sessions, adding a creative touch to their lunch experience. Guests can also enhance their meal with a selection of sushi or sashimi, or indulge in an Omakase Kaiseki experience (with prior booking).
