Glenfiddich and internationally renowned artist Raku Inoue collaborated to produce a line of limited-edition gifts for the upcoming Chinese New Year. The exquisite set, titled “A Gift For Blossoming Futures,” represents optimism in the prospect of soon-to-bloom new life. Raku embodies the essence of Glenfiddich, drawing inspiration from nature to create the exquisite sets.

Raku, who is residing in Canada but was born in Japan, developed his artistic skills and became a master in photography, handicrafts, and sketching. His interest of working with organic materials, such as flowers, leaves, and various flora species, has grown in tandem with his mastery of image composition in more recent times.

Through his masterful lens, Raku has brought the famous Glenfiddich Stag and the beautiful Wood Dragon, the 2024 Chinese zodiac animal, to life in the Glenfiddich Chinese New Year limited editions. Wood dragons are legendary creatures with spirits reminiscent of the Glenfiddich pioneers. They are born leaders. Wood is a natural element of Earth that represents development and the emergence of new life. This year, the Glenfiddich Stag pays tribute to this mythical creature by taking inspiration from the Wood Dragon, which emerges from the forest’s leaves and represents an abundant future.

The core range of 12, 15, and 18 Year Old expressions are included in the limited-edition series, which is headlined by the Glenfiddich Reserva Rum Cask 21 Year Old pack. The gift packs contain the bottle and whisky-nosing glasses making them an ideal gift for friends and family.

Glenfiddich, the most acclaimed single malt Scotch whisky in the world, breaks the mould to produce whiskies that are genuine and exceptional in quality. A Gift for Blossoming Futures also includes the “Double Gold” award-winning Reserva Rum Cask 21, an aged whisky finished in Caribbean rum-soaked casks where rich vanilla and caramel flavours give way to spicy warmth develop over time.

Glenfiddich is also having a series of pop-ups around Klang Valley, beginning with Pavilion KL’s Mercato, from 1 January – 31 January 2024 (10am – 10pm). This is followed by additional pop-ups at Publika and Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s Food Merchant, from 8 January – 4 February 2024 (10am – 10pm). Attendees can expect a line-up of activities such as CNY calligraphy wishes, Lucky Draw tree, bottle label personalisation, Ang Pao pack redemption as well as view the A Gift for Blossoming Futures collection. 

A Gift for Blossoming Futures is available from December 2023 in luxury Whisky retail outlets and establishments such as The Chamber, W Wine Liquor Warehouse, Jaya Grocer, including Mercato and Food Merchant pop-ups. The Glenfiddich Reserva Rum Cask 21 has a recommended retail price of RM1,331.20.
