Monkey Shoulder recently held their #rewritethenight party at Factory 19 Petaling Jaya, on 17 March and 18 March 2023, from 3pm to 12am which offered a fun mini-carnival party experience which included new ways to experience whisky.
The free-spirited, fun-loving brand, which stays true to its DNA as a 100% malt whisky built for mixing, gathered the city’s top DJs, bartenders, and F&B businesses to present a weekend full of funky tunes, refreshing cocktails, and cheeky activities.

The lineup of DJs at the “block party” zone included Blink, Ashley Lau, BATE, Bunga, JonnyVicious, Rimka, Roshan Menon, SAN, The Choobs and Ramsey Westwood, each bringing a mix of disco, funk, techno, house, EDM and plenty more.
At the Monkey Laundromat Cafe, we got to try refreshing cocktails made by the talented Darwin Ng (Winner of Monkey Shoulder’s 2022 Ultimate Bartender Championship) and Ho Boon Leong (Winner of Monkey Shoulder’s 2019 Ultimate Bartender Championship). There were also stalls selling ice cream brand Licky Chan, MyBurgerLab, Coffeeboy Club and the He.nut bakery.
In the Monkey Shoulder playing field, we got to play mini golf and “Monkey Block” aka giant Jenga to earn some refreshing slushy cocktails. Visitors got to select the album they liked which they could play and listen to at the “vinyl store”.
