Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa Debuts in the Maldives

The award-winning Hilton flagship brand has now expanded to the Maldives with the official opening of Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa. The all-villa resort sets a new standard in hospitality and offers a variety of thoughtful facilities that are unique to the archipelago. The hotel is owned by Amingiri Holdings Pvt Ltd and managed by Hilton.

Hilton Maldives Amingiri is the company’s fourth resort in the country, joining Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, and SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton in reinforcing Hilton’s capacity to cater to diverse travellers and their various preferences in one of the world’s most sought-after island holiday destinations.

“The Maldives is one of the most desired vacation destinations for travellers around the world – seeing a continued pace of bookings even throughout the last two years when it was the first country to open its borders to international travellers during the pandemic. The expansion of our flagship brand here underscores our commitment to bringing our world-class brands to key locations, and we are confident Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa will build on our legacy of delivering an exceptional stay to delight and inspire our guests.”

Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton

“Today’s milestone launch is a celebration of our shared vision with Hilton to deliver the most exceptional levels of service and hospitality in the Maldives. At Amingiri Holdings, we are committed to continuously contribute to the Maldivian economy and further strengthening its tourism industry, and Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa will enable us to continue with this mission.”

The Hilton Maldives Amingiri, located on Amingiri Island in the North Malé Atoll, is just a scenic 20-minute premium speedboat ride away from Velana International Airport. The resort offers 109 roomy beach and overwater villas, each with a private pool and captivating views of the blue lagoon nearby. The villas, which embody a harmony of modern and traditional Maldivian elements, allow an abundance of natural light via their floor to ceiling windows, complementing a bright colour scheme that reflects the warm tones of the sea and sky.

The overwater pool villas are equipped with stairs that lead directly to the island’s lagoon and a hammock by the pool for guests to enjoy the sound of waves; whereas the beach villas have direct access to sparkling white sand, a deck swing, and a gazebo on the shore. All of these amenities were designed to immerse guests in the wonders of nature. All villas have spacious bathrooms with bathtubs that face the ocean and both indoor and outdoor rain showers.

The six-bedroom Amingiri Residence, a standout feature of Hilton Maldives Amingiri, is the ideal retreat for larger groups of travellers seeking absolute privacy. When it opens in November 2022, the residence, which is set away on a landscaped cove, will welcome guests with its own arrival pier and a dedicated sundeck with 360-degree views of the Maldivian horizon.

“Hilton Maldives Amingiri represents what we continually strive for in our brand portfolio – innovative offerings and exceptional stays complemented by our signature hospitality. Introducing several new concepts to the Maldives, such as a rooftop lounge exclusive to teenage guests, a cocktail lab and the six-bedroom residence, Hilton Maldives Amingiri is set to capture guests of all ages looking to reconnect during their stay with their selves, nature or close ones.”

Alexandra Jaritz, senior vice president, Brand Management, Asia Pacific, Hilton

Hilton Maldives Amingiri will immerse visitors on a gourmet journey with its six unique dining options. The resort’s dining outlets are carefully selected to delight every palate, from Origin, a dining experience that celebrates sustainable seafood sourcing, ageing techniques, and a food-upcycling approach, to all-day dining restaurant Habitat, to rustic beach restaurant Beach Shack with its feet-in-the-sand dining experience.

Sip Tea Lounge is a contemporary teahouse that celebrates tea traditions from throughout the world. Its broad tea collection enables visitors to rejuvenate and unwind while enjoying both exotic flavours and time-honoured favourites. The adults-only overwater bar Eden offers champagne and gin, while the cocktail lab at poolside bar Aura is devoted to the craft of mixology.

Both experienced travellers and novice explorers can look forward to a variety of interesting experiences: the rooftop bar Re:Fuel provides teenagers with a tranquil haven and a hidden entrance just for them, while the Krakengiri Kids’ Club has an outdoor children’s play pool and a mini splash park. Amingiri Spa, which was intentionally created to resemble a sanctuary, offers a wide selection of reviving therapies and purifying hammam rituals that promote an elevated state of well-being.
