In celebration of Father’s Day 2020, EQ is offering indulgent savoury and sweet selections from its restaurant Nipah with a Father’s Day Special menu. The hotel will also be offering hampers with hand-picked quality selections which will make a wonderful gift for dad!

At Nipah, diners will get to enjoy a barbecue brunch priced at RM88 per adult which includes classic starters, soup, along with both Asian and Western platters, mains and desserts. All fathers will be entered into a lucky draw to win exciting prizes. The first prize is a weekend staycation at EQ for two including breakfast, the second prize a 1-hour Sanctum Spa treatment, while the third prize a buffet lunch at Nipah for two. Guests may also add RM180 per person to enjoy unlimited selected wines, chilled juices and soft drinks from 12PM – 3.30PM

Highlights from the brunch menu include Shellfish Bisque with Tarragon and Lobster Dumpling, Tea Tree-Smoked Norwegian Salmon and Potato Feuille, Roasted Beef with Marinated Asparagus and Pommery Mustard, Homemade Sautéed Spaetzle and more. Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy an array of desserts crafted by EQ’s Pastry Chef Paul Kelly such as King of Hearts Cupcakes, Trifle, Passion Fruit Pavlova, Tropical Fruit Cheesecake and more.

Out of ideas on what to get for dad? Fret not as EQ has Father’s Day hampers available at Nipah, as well as for delivery, filled with hand-picked assortments of snacks and sips, ranging from RM158 to RM438.

The Beers Hamper comes with four bottles of Heineken or Tiger beer and a container of premium cashews in a box of roses, while the Wine Hamper comes with Ochagavia white or red wine and two containers of premium cashews in a box of lilies. The most premium of the selection is the Champagne Hamper which comes with a bottle of Taittinger champagne on a bed of a dozen Ferrero Rocher chocolates.

Each purchase above RM208 includes a Gentlemen’s Facial at Sanctum Spa worth RM480. Customisation of gifts is also possible and requires minimum three (3) working days notice.

All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum Promotion at Zuan Yuan,

One World Hotel Petaling Jaya

 

Last weekend, we headed over to Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant at One World Hotel for their All-You-Can-Eat dim sum lunch on weekends for the month of June 2020. Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant specialises in classic Cantonese cuisine with a strong focus on dim sum.

Guests can pick as many favourites off the menu such as the Steamed Siew Mai with Flying Fish Roe, Steamed Shrimp Dumpling, Steamed Barbecue Chicken Bun, Poached Dumpling with Hot and Sour Sauce, Steamed Bean Curd Roll with Chef’s Special Abalone Sauce, Oven Baked Mini Tart, Crispy Taro Dumpling with Scallop and Miso Sauce, Stir Fried Turnip Cake, Steamed Rice Roll and more!

Those who love hearty dishes can indulge in the Congee with Century Egg and Dried Oysters, Fried Rice Noodles with Beef “Hong Kong” Style, Fried Rice “Yangzhou” Style and Fried Mee Hoon “Hokkien” Style.

Dessert comprises of Herbal Jelly with Honey, Chilled Lemongrass Jelly with Aloe Vera and; Chilled Soy Bean with Snow Fungus.

We actually tried almost every dish on the menu! As we got there around 11am, we took our time to slowly enjoy the dim sum, while catching up (something that’s much more treasured these days post-MCO). By the time we finished the dessert it was 2.30pm. Definitely a nice way to enjoy the weekend!

I noticed that the restaurant was near full reduced (due to the SOP with tables being distanced, limited to 4 seats, etc. etc.) capacity therefore I strongly advise you to book beforehand to avoid disappointment. 

The All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum promotion is available for lunch only on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays from 10.00am to 2.30pm. There is currently an introductory price which is only RM48.00 nett (normal price is RM88) per adult and RM24.00 nett for children aged 6 – 12 years.
