[Dining]
Joanne and I recently visited Pietro Ristorante Italiano in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur to try their upcoming Valentine’s Day 2020 dinner menu. The restaurant also has a Valentine’s lunch menu and both menus are available from 13 February to 16 February 2020.
Tucked away at the corner of Bangunan ECM Libra in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur is Pietro Ristorante Italiano, a modern fine dining Italian restaurant that has a very stylish interior and relaxed ambience. If you fancy a more private meal, Pietro has not one, not two but three private dining rooms of different sizes on the first floor. There’s also an al-fresco area outside while the main dining room is punctuated with the well-stocked bar and art pieces on the walls.

Foie Gras is one of my favourite ingredients and the one at Pietro certainly didn’t disappoint! Fully suggest that you add on a glass of house red wine (an additional RM20++) to go along with it.
The heartwarming pumpkin and garlic soup was interesting, and fortunately the garlic wasn’t noticeable otherwise it’ll be hard to kiss your partner after dinner with the garlic breath! The crostini on the side with the smoked salmon was an added dimension to the dish and complemented it well!
The seafood risotto topped with cognac crab bisque was interesting and hearty! I love a good risotto and this one which was creamy and had lots of umami flavours from the bisque was well-executed!
Mains (choice of)

The roast lamb was an elegant dish, beautifully plated and delicious! Request for this to be cooked nothing above medium to really enjoy it properly. Yet again, add on a glass of house red wine to accompany the dish.

The seabass fillet was a decent non-red meat option, with delicate hints of Pernod. More suitable for her. I was awaiting the beef fillet steak which was a really hearty and masculine dish! Order your beef to be cooked medium rare or at the most medium to fully enjoy this dish. The creamy mash on the side meant that this was a really filling dish. I was pretty full by the time I was done with this one.

No Valentine’s Day meal is complete without something sweet. The white chocolate mousse was a very pretty dessert that was rich, but well-balanced by the sweet and piquant coulis and the savoury crumble.
