[Valentine’s Day Special]
My partner in crime and I recently visited Senja which is located at the Club Wing of The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur to try out their upcoming 2020 Valentine’s Day menu. Senja is one of our favourite romantic restaurants and we’ve had our share of romantic visits over the years.

The Valentine Set Menu at Senja on Valentine’s Day will set the mood for love with a romantic candlelit and classy ambiance, and a live band crooning love songs. Dinner starts at 6:30 pm till 11.00 pm.

Astice al Vapore con Insalatina di Granchio e Caviale
Poached Lobster with Crab Salad and Caviar
She really loved this one as it had two of her favourite ingredients – lobster and caviar!
Raviolo di Salmone con Ragout di Mare e Cappuccino ai Funghi
Salmon Raviolo with Seafood Ragout and Mushroom Cappuccino
This was the biggest Ravioli we’ve ever eaten and it turned out to be one of the best as it was stuffed with seafood! The mushroom “cappuccino” foam on top added a very Insta-friendly touch and imparted some lovely earthy flavours to contrast against the sweetness/ umami flavours of the seafood.

Wrapped Cod Fish in Zuchini served on Celeriac Puree and Tomato Essence

Lombata di Agnello Con Purea di Ceci al Tartufo Mescolare Funghi Saltati e Riduzione di Jus
Lamb Loin with Truffle Chickpea Puree Mixed Sautéed Mushroom and Jus Reduction
Absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly rare (which makes it very tender) so don’t worry about it being so pink. Opt for this if you eat lamb.

Chocolate and Pistachio Tortino Pumpkin Cream Vanilla Ice Cream Mixed Berries
A classic chocolate lava cake to end a lovely meal!
Senja offers a calm and classy ambience with a front-seat view of the water feature which is part of the hotel’s garden. You can opt to dine outside in the al fresco area to experience the sound of the running water stream that elevates the romantic feel, or opt to dine inside the main dining area for a classy setting of dark woods and a live slow Jazz band.

Senja is a very classy and romantic place to have your Valentine’s Day dinner.
