Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur will be hosting a week of Italian Week this September 2019. Italian Chef Daniele Devillanova, Chef de Cuisine of Waterfall Ristorante Italiano, Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore will be here to showcase some of his signature dishes.

Chef Daniele’s approach to Italian cuisine is gastronomic, by holding true to Italian way of cooking, by highlighting the quality of the ingredients and with lots of the authentic passion. He is bringing his recipes all the way from his homeland. He will be making a special appearance at Gobo Upstairs Lounge & Grill to present an Italian Gourmet experience. We will celebrate the best of Italian Week starting from 23 September to 28 September by presenting dishes from the finest ingredients, bringing the taste of Italy in exquisite presentations right to the diner’s plates. Chef Daniele will serve different set menus, 2 exclusive wine dinners and an ala carte menu.

The dishes featured at French Week 2019 include home made semola friselle bread, DOP burrata, sweet tomatoes, braised lamb shank in nero d’ avola wine, coffee scents, smoked mashed potatoes, roasted pumpkin, orecchiette pasta in anchovies and fresh tomato base, chilly, broccoli mash, grilled mackerel fish, home made cannolo siciliano, ricotta cheese, orange zest, chocolate chips, coffee English cream and more.

Depressed Cake Shop

At a global level, one in four people will likely experience a mental health problem at some point in their lives. Worldwide over 300 million people are estimated to have depression. Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur has will be celebrating World Wellness Day and in conjunction with this the hotel will be organising Depressed Cake Shop.

Depressed Cake Shop is one of the projects happening on 19 & 20 September from 8.00am to 6.00pm at On The Go, located at the ground level of the hotel. Depressed Cake Shop is a unique and delicious platform designed to raise awareness of the challenges. Hence, with the help of their co-conspirators, they facilitate pop-ups worldwide that sell highly customized baked goods as a way. During the cake sale, a series of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, panna cotta and more will be sold to the general public. All proceeds from this sale will go to Malaysian Mental Health Association, a non-profit voluntary organisation formed by a group of mental health professionals and community leaders from University Hospital MMHA. Depressed Cake Shop is a pop-up to support mental health.

The objective is to promote mental health in the community. Help raise the standard of treatment, prevention and research in the field of mental health. Adding on, to provide rehabilitative services for the mentally ill. Hence, it is to safeguard the interests and welfare of psychiatric patients and to support caregivers and family members of mentally ill persons.

Thursday Bladder Burst Beer Challenge at Skybar Kuala Lumpur

“Drink the Most, Beat the Rest and Be the Best”! SkyBar Kuala Lumpur will be having their Thursday Bladder Burst Beer Challenge from 5 September to 26 October 2019 every Thursday, from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.

Drink all the draught beer only at RM 49 per person until nature calls you. One beer mug at a time, drink your way up on the Bladder Burst Hall of Fame board and compete with everyone. An attractive prize awaits the Bladder Burst Champion.

To enter the challenge, participant must drink as much beer as they can, but they are not allowed to go to release themselves. Beer buffet offer will end once the participant uses the washroom.

The participant who drinks the most beer will make it to Skybar’s Bladder Burst Hall of Fame board. Other participants may strive to beat the current record holder during the challenge duration. The overall Bladder Burst Beer challenge winner will be announced on 26 October 2019.
