“Abundance of Oysters” and “Abundance of Champagne” with Veuve Clicquot at Soleil, DC Mall, Kuala Lumpur

Ruby and I headed over to Soleil Restaurant & Wine Bar in Damansara City Mall (DC Mall) recently to try out the restaurant’s “Abundance of Oysters” and “Abundance of Champagne” promotions which happening in October and November 2018, in collaboration with Veuve Clicquot champagne.

Over the years, the Maison has acquired extraordinary know how thanks to an exceptional woman: Barbe Nicole Ponsardin, also known as Madame Veuve Clicquot. Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin champagne is the world’s second most popular champagne and is considered by consumers to be the most exclusive and the most prestigious.

In my humble opinion, champagne and fresh oysters are a match made in heaven – with the pairing of fresh oysters bursting with umami flavours contrasting with the crispness of champagne. Soleil currently has a promotion whereby you can get a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne (normal selling price of RM330++) together with 3 pieces of fresh Irish oysters (normal selling price of RM55++) at a very special promotional price of just RM345++. In addition to that, you can opt to upgrade to half a dozen of fresh Irish Oysters for only an additional RM5++ (which I highly suggest that you do!).

Every Wednesday, Soleil has an evening activity called “Ladies and Gentlemen Night” featuring this very delicious natural aphrodisiac. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label champagne by glass and bottle will be available at discounted prices and there’s also an Oyster Bar at the terrace serving varieties of oysters from around the world with prices starting from RM10 – RM22 and also various packages of Oysters Trays.

Soleil Restaurant & Wine Bar has always been famous for Chef Evert’s gastronomic creations with seafood dishes being his specialty – from Belgium Mussel Pots, Clam Pots, Sole Meuniere, North Sea Shrimps and Seared Scallops. On 11th November 2018, the establishment will be organizing a one-day Seafood Festival in partnership with Veuve Clicquot. The event will feature a selection of seafood prepared in the cooking method of your choice, a fresh oyster bar with various selection of oysters, and not forgetting lots of champagne, wines and other beverages on promotion.
