Aussie Bushman’s BBQ at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel
Executive Chef Supi Mansor and team are thrilled to fire up the grill for an Aussie Bushman‘s Barbecue experience at the Poolside Gazebo every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6.30pm to 10.30pm. Located on Level 4, the Poolside Gazebo is overlooking an Olympic-sized swimming pool and set amidst lush greeneries. From the gazebo, you get to view the sunset and chill, while enjoying the Aussie Bushman’s BBQ and a live DJ who will provide the tunes for the evening.
“Our Australian style barbecue offers diners an a la carte choice of meats and seafood, hot off the grill and straight to the dining table plus an unlimited salads, soup and desserts. Aussie style barbecue uses simple marinade of garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper to retain the original flavors of the grilled meat or seafood. Crustaceans such as prawns and lobsters are cooked in their shells to preserve the juiciness,” said Chef Supi.
The BBQ is priced from RM25nett onwards, and basically you select your main from a variety of marinated meats and seafood such as tenderloin, rib eye, sirloin, lamb chops and skewers of beef, chicken, scallop and prawns or even the Drunken Aussie Burger (which was juicy and delicious!), and pay the corresponding price. On top of your main, you can help yourself to the mini-buffet which consists of soup of the day, salad bar and a dessert bar!

The Drunken Aussie Burger was really really good! A tender and juicy patty served with 2 solid burger buns! Definitely enough to fill me up!

An Evening With The Phantom – Songs From The Musicals
My partner in crime and I made our way over to the Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on 18 April 2018 for the much awaited “An Evening With The Phantom – Songs From The Musicals” Royal Charity Gala Premiere which was held in the hotel’s Manhattan Ballroom. The Royal Charity Gala was graced by YMM Tunku Ampuan Tuanku Najihah Binti Tunku Besar Burhanuddin in aid of Tuanku Ja’afar Educational Trust (TJET).
The Tuanku Ja’afar Educational Trust (TJET) was established 25 years ago with the vision to provide educational support to those who are in the lower-income bracket. The Chairman of The Board of Trustees of TJET, Y.A.M. Tunku Naquiyuddin ibni Tuanku Ja’afar strongly believe that the provision of proper educational opportunities and necessary financial support are essential to the beneficiaries to succeed and fairly join the ranks of those with jobs and career opportunities. As at to date, TJET has raised RM320,000 worth of financial assistance benefitting thousands of students during the charity event.
An Evening With The Phantom – Songs From The Musicals was held in conjunction with the iconic musical’s 30th anniversary on Broadway – The Phantom Of The Opera. Featuring the casts from The Phantom itself – Michael Cormick and Claire Lyon, the 75 minutes musical celebration transported guests back to 1881 in Opera Populaire with the greatest hits from The Phantom Of The Opera and highlighting the very best of melodies from other popular musicals.
Lots of “mandatory” photos at the photowall before the show.

Michael Cormick and Claire Lyon together with the musicians entertained us to many popular numbers including Phantom of The Opera, A Whole New World (from Disney’s Aladdin), Memory, Impossible Dream, All That Jazz, Sound Of Music – The Sound of Music, My Favourite Things, Something Good, Edelweiss (which they got the whole audience to join in and sing!), and Climb Every Mountain.
After a short intermission, the show continued with music from West Side Story – Tonight, I Feel Pretty, Maria, Somewhere, (Disney’s) Beauty & The Beast, I Dreamed A Dream | Bring Him Home, I Could Have Danced All Night | Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again | Angel of Music | Think Of Me | Music Of The Night, and All I Ask of You.
An Evening With The Phantom – Songs From The Musicals was presented by Milestone Production. A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales was channelled to Tuanku Ja’afar Educational Trust.

Time to Save Malaysia
My fellow Malaysians,
The time to choose between good and evil will be upon us very soon. It will be an epic battle for the very soul of the country. Let us be realistic here – we’re fighting an uphill battle against corruption, lies, deceit, cheating, and abuse of power. They will use every single dirty tactic they can because they know that if they lose – all their misdeeds will be exposed for all to see.
However if enough of the rakyat has the courage, moral fibre, righteous principles and ethics to stand up against this grave threat plaguing our beautiful nation, we can still overcome these tremendous odds, and then work towards rebuilding the nation.
I’m asking you to have HOPE and decide whether you will stay at home on polling day, or vote for more of the same horrible rotten nonsense, or vote for change and a chance to make a better future for yourself and your loved ones.
The future lies in your hands! Think of your parents, your family, your children, your grandchildren, your friends, etc. etc. Would you want them to live in a kleptocracy which encourages racial hatred and extremism? Or in a country which is managed properly, has a flourishing economy, where truth and enlightenment are celebrated and not labelled as “fake news”, where the citizens of all races are united and celebrate their diversity.
Those dirty and corrupt politicians are NOT entitled to rule the country. They rule because not enough good people stood up against them. It’s time to regain our country’s independence and pride.
Together we can win! We can change Malaysia for the better!
