Business Set Lunch at Senja, Saujana Hotel & Resort

Mikasa, Alice and I recently headed over to Senja at The Club Saujana, to try their Business Set Lunch. The set lunch is available Mondays to Saturdays, from 12.00pm to 2.00pm, and priced at RM68.00. You get to customise your very own 3-course meal and pick from seasonal starters, mains and desserts which change weekly!

  

Starter (choice of)

Rucoletta con Noci, Arance e Pomodorini Secchi

Wild Rocket Salad with Walnut, Sundried Tomatoes and Orange

A light and refreshing salad that has lots of bitter earthy flavours from the wild salad, contrasting against the sweetness and piquancy of the tomatoes and orange! Perfect for a hot and sunny day!

Crema di Zucca

Pumpkin Soup

A very hearty soup indeed with loads of pumpkin flavour while not being too heavy on the cream!

Vitello Tonnato

Thinly Sliced Chilled Roasted Veal Loin with Tuna Confit Sauce and Caperberries

This was a very elegant starter indeed featuring earthy slices of roasted veal loin paired with a tuna confit sauce and caperberries – definitely not your run of the mill ingredients!

Linguine al Pesto

Linguine with Home Made Fresh Basil Pesto

This was a very filling non-meat option which was tasty and delicious without being cloyingly rich.

Petto di Anatra con Purea di Patate

Seared Duck Breast with Mashed Potatoes

Just lovely! Still with the lightest pink hue in the middle which made it juicy and tender! This was my favourite main!

  

 

Or

Cernia Al Forno con Patate e Zucchine

Oven Baked Red Snapper with Potatoes and Zucchini

A fresh and pretty decently sized fillet of red snapper prepared Mediterranean style.

Gelato o Sorbetto del Giorno

Passion Fruits Sorbet or Caramel Ice Cream

Espresso Coffee

To wash down your lunch, choose a fresh and fruity sorbet, or creamy ice cream, or a cup of espresso to perk you up!

  

We also took the opportunity to try out some of the desserts on the a la carte menu (ie. not part of the set menu above).
