I have had the honour of trying the Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) menus at Dynasty Chinese Restaurant located in the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel for the past two (2) years running:

This October, MIGF returns with the theme “High Octane Chefs”, and Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel’s Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin has prepared a special 4-course “high-powered” cuisine set for this year’s festival.

Chef Kin is no newbie in the festival, having participated in MIGF for a number of years, and knows the high standards that diners at Dynasty expect of him. “Flavor is always at the forefront of my mind when I create a special menu and the food presentation itself must be pleasing to the eyes in order to satiate a high octane hunger,” said Chef Kin.

Chef Kin likes to bring together contrasting tastes and textures to create unique, full bodied dishes, that require meticulous preparation and thoughtful presentation like his XO fortune money bag with bean curd folder, Crispy pork belly with apple and Seafood wrapped in rice paper.

Not one to shy away from trying out different styles, Chef Kin used inspiration from both traditional and contemporary Chinese cuisine to create this year’s dessert – the Double boiled bird’s nest and aloe vera in coconut with Golden potato, egg yolk custard and traditional alkaline cake.

The 4-course Festival Menu is priced at RM250nett per person and RM320nett per person with two (2) glasses of wine and is available throughout the month of October 2016.
