This is a continuation from part 1 which you can read here – https://timchew.net/2015/07/28/dr-ko-skincare-specialist/

In part 2, I will be sharing about the three (3) products which I didn’t highlight in part 1.

Ko Dermacare Vitality Purifying Essence I (30ml) – RM120.00

This purifying essence reduces skin imperfections while balancing sebum production for a clear and refined complexion and is suitable for acne-prone skin like mine. The essence boosts the efficiency of your moisturiser while controlling sebum production.

What I like is that this product is alcohol free so it doesn’t dry the skin or cause redness after use. Simply apply on the face after cleansing and before applying any other creams.

Dermax Bio Comedone Essence 12 30ml RM139

This essence contains lemon fruit water, horse chestnut bark extract, licorice root extract, rosemary leaf extract and wild yam root extract. This comedone essence works in tandem purifying essence (above) to control sebum production.

Simply apply on the T-zone and comedone affected areas after cleansing and toning before applying your moisturizer.

Dermax Bio Defence Sunscreen SPF60 6M 35ml RM180

This sunscreen is a transparent gel with broad spectrum UV protection, and is suitable for acne-prone, oily, combination, normal and sensitive skin.

Using it is easy, just apply on cleansed skin half an hour prior to sun exposure. Reapply after 2 hours or prolonged sun exposure to ensure continued protection. This is a very important product as skin cancer is very common these days thanks to the thinning of our planet’s ozone layer. So don’t be lazy and ensure that you always have sunscreen on before going out during the daytime.

I quite enjoyed using the products as my skin is less oily for longer periods. Also the sunscreen is not the sticky and smelly type which I hate so putting it on before I go out during the daytime is the norm for me.
