[Ramadan Buffet Special]

Essence at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel has a special buka puasa buffet this Ramadan with the theme “Tales of Nusantara” featuring Ramadan delights at a collection of stalls and live cooking stations with each traditionally decorated to its food origins.

The buffet spread will feature more than 210 specialties from Malay, Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesia, Singaporean and more. There will be array of famous dishes such as Essence’s Whole Baby Lamb with Mandi Rice, Baked Whole Sea Bass Bumbu Bali Nyonya Curry Laksa, Singapore Chili Crab, Lagan ki Boti which are just a few from the 120-metre buffet spread.

I like the ambience at Essence because the high ceiling gives a large sense of space.

You will truly be spoilt for choice at Essence and I like the fact that there are many live cooking stations where the chefs prepare the food on the spot for you. Worth a mention is the delicious and spicy assam pedas which you can customise by adding your choice of meat or seafood into it!

The buffet is priced at RM138.00 nett per person with an early bird promotion priced at RM90.00 nett until the 17 June 2015. It is available for dinner only from 18 June until 16 July 2015. Kids below 4 years old eat for free and kids from 4 to 12 years old will received 50% off.

For in-house guests who prefer to have sahur in the room, they will be able to choose from 3 different set menus which includes favorites such as Braised local catfish with chilli paddy in coconut milk, River patin fish cooked with coconut and “pegaga leaf”, Oxtail soup with potato and carrot and more delivered to the room for just RM52.00nett.

If you prefer to break-fast at home, there is the Ramadan Mandi Rice special, which is available for take away at Toastina Café & Bar from 18 June until 16 July 2015. The Mandi Rice is priced at RM15.00nett per portion and will be available for sale from 4.00pm until 6.00pm.
