Managed to get back to KL early after attending the Sony Alpha Super Workshop in Malacca on Saturday and Sunday (look out for my post on that coming soon!) and managed to make it in time for the Jaya Fashion Fest featuring the finalists of Miss World Malaysia 2014 on the runway.
The new Jaya Shopping Centre, which is a brand spanking new neighbourhood mall replacing the old Jaya Shopping Centre which has been an integral part of Section 14 in Petaling Jaya for a couple of decades, played host to the Jaya Fashion fest and the Miss World Malaysia 2014 finalist in their capacity as the official shopping centre for the pageant.
In conjunction with the glamorous association, Jaya Shopping Centre organised a two-day fashion fair dubbed the Jaya Fashion Fest held from 23-24 August 2014 and showcased fashion apparel and jewellery from the shopping centre’s tenants in a show on Sunday, 24 August 2014 featuring the twenty-one finalists on the catwalk donned in outfits and accessories provided by Aathi’s Collection, Bhaju, Chopra, Poya, Square Room and Tulip, with accessories from Pashrose and jade jewellery from Rui’s.
Mr. Ismail Ani Arope, Director of Jaya Section Fourteen Sdn. Bhd. commented that the shopping centre was very proud to be part of Miss World Malaysia 2014 and that the ambitions and aspirations of the finalists reflect the wholesome high energy of the mall’s young market group. He added that this partnership allowed the mall to reach out to the young, hip and urban market of Petaling Jaya, and that the mall hopes to bring positive changes to the community that it serves. Mr. Ismail will be on the panel of judges for the Miss World Malaysia 2014 finals which will be held on 30 August 2014.
