Kronenbourg 1664’s L’Aperitif Fashion 2013 Finale

The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur played host to the grand finale of Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Fashion on 7 November 2013 which showcased the interpretations of this year’s theme ‘French Masterpieces’ by nine local budding fashion designers.

The search is like Project Runway and involved a 7 month-long of effort, from entry submission, public voting, short-listing of 20 finalists, design conceptualization, creating the outfit, to fitting, hairdo and choosing their models for the runway.

In case you missed the launch of the search earlier in the year, here’s a look at the press conference where I got to enjoy ice-cold Kronenbourg 1664 (lager which is my fav variant!) on a blisteringly hot day!

The winner of the search would get a money-can’t-buy 3-month internship with the world acclaimed fashion designer Nicolas Georgiou in London, recommended by the Patron of Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Fashion Datuk Prof. Dr. Jimmy Choo, O.B.E.

Now 7 November was a busy day for me but I made sure that I attended the finale which is the culmination of Kronenbourg 1664’s key campaign of 2013. This was not your typical fashion show runway or setting!

The panel of judges consisted of Juliet Yap, Marketing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia, international fashion designers Khoon Hooi and Keith Kee, Rubin Khoo Managing Editor of August Man and Mindy Teh Editor in Chief of Marie Claire with mentor Gillian Hung.

But there can only be one winner - — But there can only be one winner and after the break where guests got to enjoy a delicious buffet spread provided by the Majestic Hotel KL, Ellie Lim was declared the winner of the Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Fashion 2013. She later remarked, “This has been an amazing journey for me. I am truly grateful to Kronenbourg 1664 for giving me not only an opportunity to learn but the chance of a lifetime to intern in London with a renowned fashion icon like Nicolas Georgiou. Taking part in L’Aperitif Fashion has been a remarkable journey for all of us, having been guided and monitored by mentor Gillian Hung on our collections.”

年轻创意设计师展现具有Kronenbourg 1664风格的法式杰作

吉隆坡，2013年11月12日——Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Fashion时尚盛会已经在吉隆坡Majestic Hotel圆满落幕！9位本地时尚界新秀设计师成功在这项总决赛中，展现他们对“法式杰作”的完美诠释。从呈交作品、公众投选、评选20位决赛圈入围者、设计概念化、缝制参赛服装到试装、发型设计和选择伸展台模特儿等长达7个月的努力之后，Ellie Lim终于成功打败芸芸竞争者，脱颖而出成为冠军得主，并成功获得Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Fashion名誉赞助人拿督Jimmy Choo博士教授O.B.E推荐，前往伦敦知名时尚设计师Nicolas Georgiou旗下，实习3个月。

马来西亚Carlsberg董事经理Henrik Juel Andersen在提到该啤酒品牌如何与时尚平台挂钩时表示：“Kronenbourg 1664是法国排名第一且享誉全球的优质啤酒品牌。为了忠于其源自法国文化、生活和魅力的品牌精神，Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Fashion一直致力于推动本地时尚领域的发展，并且为有创意的年轻设计师提供一个展现才华的平台。”

聚集服装设计师与酿酒师且结合奢华时尚以及法式享乐艺术的2013年Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Fashion。让参赛者在经历了准备总决赛的种种磨练之后，交出令人惊艳的成果。总决赛当天，参赛者所呈现的一系列法式时尚作品，充分反映了法国第一优质啤酒Kronenbourg 1664的独特风格，也完美体现了法式文化、纪念性建筑和文学精髓。

第一位参赛者Shin Mei Chian呈现了一系列以“纯粹的邪恶（Pure Evil）”为主题的作品。她的作品融合了戏剧元素和风格，并且完美结合了复古与现代法国风情。随后登场的Ivy Kerk Mee Siang则以“更进一步（Further）”为设计主题呈现了一系列灵感来自巴克莱资本银行（Barclay Capital Bank）的作品。接下来，Michelle Soong为玛丽安托内特加入了现代化的元素，带来一系列以“情迷安托内特（Love Antoinette）”为主题的时尚服饰。精致考究中带有淡淡的哥特式风情，Alice Ng Sheng Min以其名为“线之魅力（Charme De Ligne）”的系列作品，让观众为之着迷。

经过短暂的休息时间之后，晚会也迅速进入高潮时刻。穿着大胆前卫服饰的模特儿，完美诠释了Nigel Chia Kay Thuan以“Le Fantôme De L’opéra（歌剧魅影）”为概念的系列作品。紧接下来，Lorenzo Peh Chin Yee也以“Corsetheus（马甲休斯）”为主题设计出一系列创意服饰，把“紧身胸衣”转变成为高级时装元素。Ellie Lim则带来了更优雅婉约的设计概念，通过“艺之颂（L’art）”的主题，呈现一系列错综复杂且注重细节的精致作品。设计风格完全迥异的是Phuna Boon Yi的“Clermont-ferrand （克莱蒙费朗）”，他以一系列结合传统与庞克风格的混合设计，营造出不拘一格的创新组合。最后一位入围者Laura Yap Ai Mei则是当晚唯一一位呈现全男服饰的参赛者，她的主题是“Quasimodo（卡西莫多）” 。

由Carlsberg Malaysia市场营销总监Juliet Yap、国际时尚设计师Khoon Hooi与Keith Kee、August Man执行编辑Rubin Khoo以及Marie Claire总编Mindy Teh所组成的陪审团，对参赛者所展现出来的非凡才华，感到惊叹。Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Fashion名誉赞助人拿督Jimmy Choo OBE博士教授，和导师Gillian Hung也非常满意参赛者的表现。每一位参赛者的设计作品都博得如雷的掌声。
