Drink University…now that’s a rather strange name for a club. But well with lots of Macallan flowing and pretty promoter girls who cares about the name. Now what we thought was going to be a rather formal sit-down whisky appreciation evening on 24 October 2013 turned out to be a full-blown party to mark AsiaEuro’s  official whisky distribution partnership with Edrington at the Drink University with sexy female water drummers, Dennis Lau on the violin, and a hot DJ spinning.

The party featured cocktails such as the The Famous Grouse’s Famous Fling and Highland Park Old Fashioned, as well as The Macallan Perfect Serve. There was also a spread of canapes to go along with the drinks however as we came from our review atHugo’s on 6 (you can read about that here – https://timchew.net/2013/11/06/casual-dining-hugos-on-6-best-western-premier-dua-sentral/) we were pretty stuffed already.

The Macallan Perfect Serve is a glass of Macallan served with an ice ball, crafted from The Macallan’s very own copper ice ball machine. The drink was inspired by the Japanese tradition of serving hand-carved ice with ultra-premium spirits. Macallan, Famous Grouse, and Highland Park are owned by Edrington and exclusively distributed by AsiaEuro in Malaysia.
