Marlboro M.Scape Lounge at the 2013 Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix

Now the Malaysian Formula One 2013 week was rather crazy for Malaysia’s Hottest Bloggers and myself as we had loads and loads of events back to back to attend. In fact the night before race day (24 March 2013) we were partying it up till late but we weren’t going to miss this awesome experience being hosted in the Marlboro M.Scape Lounge inside the Paddock Club.

Conne Lim Jen Yng Naomi — At the meet up point which was Zouk Club KL while waiting for the coaches to bring us over to SIC.

After a bus ride which offered us a chance to get some badly needed shut eye we arrived at the paddock building in SIC and were ushered up into the Paddock Club and on to the Marlboro M.Scape Lounge!

There were a lot of cool prizes to be won through the games

After which Felipe Massa went for a meet and greet session with the guests inside the M.Scape Lounge. After his visit team principal Stefano Domenicali and test-driver Pedro de la Rosa also came up to give us some insights into the world of Formula 1 and team Scuderia Ferrari.

He even autographed some merchandise which would be given out through the games later that afternoon

Speaking of games, these two very pretty M.Scape girls were assisting guests to play the Ferrari trivia game which was really tough even for an F1 fan like myself! Naomi though through some luck and help from some of our friends managed emerge in the top 5 and thus won herself a little replica F1 helmet!

The starter. Of course since we arrived in the morning we were already helping ourselves to loads of champers, beers, and fruit juices. Talk about watching the race VIP style!

Conne Lim Jen Yng — At the Ferrari pit wall where the team director, manager and race engineers monitor the cars and the race info from a bunch of screens at eye level and a row of smaller screens above each position which gives the team loads of information.

We had a fantastic view of the race watching from the windows as well as the large TV screens in the lounge

The race was eventually won by Sebastian Vettel who ignored team orders not to cut his teammate Mark Webber which Scuderia Ferrari driver Felipe Massa finished in 5th position earning himself 10 championship points. Fernando Alonso crashed out on the second lap of the race after a broken front wing cause by a collision on lap 1 came loose and lodged itself underneath the car resulting in total loss of braking or downforce and sending the car into the gravel trap in turn 1.

It was a truly an unforgettable VIP experience for myself as a F1 fan to have an inside glimpse at the glamorous and exciting world of Formula 1 and the Scuderia Ferrari team!
