As most of you are undoubtedly aware, I used to work for FHM Malaysia from 2008 to 2010 handling marketing and assisting the editors in finding beautiful women to feature in the magazine.
So when the invite from my ex-employer came for the FHM 100 Most Wanted Women in the World 2012 party I decided to head over to Rootz KL in Lot 10, Kuala Lumpur on 6 December 2012 as I thought it would be a good opportunity to catch up with some of the female celebs featured in the list who I rarely see at events and parties.
FYI globally the 100 Most Wanted Women list is known as the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World however we live in a less tolerant country therefore the name had to be changed. The poll remains the original and largest search for the most beautiful women on the planet and is run by most FHM editions around the world. Each year, the magazine and its readers choose 20 local and regional celebrities to complete a list of the 100 most successful female celebrities from the film, television, music and fashion spheres.
This year’s party was sponsored by beauty and healthcare products retailer Sasa which you might think is odd as FHM is a men’s magazine but they do carry men’s products like facial cleansers and fragrances, etc. etc. and actually gave guests some discount vouchers to use when purchasing items in their outlets.
Patricia Knudsen or Patricia K, as she’s more widely known as, appeared on the cover of FHM Malaysia’s August 2012 issue. She was born in Hong Kong, raised in Japan, Hong Kong and Malaysia, and schooled in her native Denmark. The Kuala Lumpur-based model/host/deejay/radio deejay received the most number of votes from FHM’s readers, who voted via email while the second highest number of votes went to Malaysian model and celebrity Leng Yein.
The other celebrities on this year’s list included Sarah Lian, Jay Menon, Mizz Nina, Yvonne Sim, Dian Sharlin, Thanuja Ananthan, Hannah Tan, Chelsia Ng, Marsha Milan, Nadine Ann Thomas, Nadia Heng, Julie Woon, Angie Ng, Fay Hokulani, Megan Tan, Natacha Meunier, Karen Lugun, and Kimberley Leggett.
