[Event]
It’s been a yearful of Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Fashion parties and the series finally ends with a fashion soiree at Luna Bar in Kuala Lumpur on 20 November 2012.
The Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Fashion Grand Finale was the conclusion of a year–long series which provided a unique and advanced platform for budding designers to showcase their talent to industry experts and earn a mentorship programme with Prof Dato’ Dr Jimmy Choo OBE and a chance for the rest of us to experience Franch fashion, flair, food and of course the French beer Kronenbourg 1664.
We got there realy and the girls kept themselves occupied at the styling booths sponsored by L’Oreal Professional and Tenze Hair Studio. I decided to enjoy some canapes and some ice-cold Kronenbourg 1664 lager (the girls preferred the Blanc).

Alexis Grace is a bubbly person whom I used to meet at events as she works as a freelance talent and I was quite surprised but happy to know that she’s now a budding fashion designer.
Her style is all about soft romance that is relaxing and ethereal. She loves to design outfits that make people feel empowered and sophisticated and she believes that beauty is best appreciated with a hint of class and style. She is set on becoming the next Betsey Johnson to whom she owes her inspiration and drive to.
Her inspiration for Kronenbourg 1664 L’Aperitif Grand Finale:
“When I think about Kronenbourg 1664 being from France, I immediately picture the Eiffel Tower and its majestic grandeur. That has been my inspiration for my collection as the architecture and artistic value of such a monolith is truly empowering”
Unfortunately Alexis did not win as it was won by Hariharan Arasu, who won himself a priceless experiential reward; receiving a five day one-on-one mentorship session in London with world-renowned Malaysian shoe designer Dato’ Dr Jimmy Choo, OBE.
He will also get to visit a shoe making studio situated at the London College of Fashion, visit the Nicolas Georgiou’s studio, who currently designs for Austin Reed, visit Peter Chow’s studio, a successful fashion entrepreneur who currently owns numerous shoe outlets and clothing ateliers all over England, go on a one-day London fashion tour, and have a day of sightseeing outside London.
What a lucky chap!
