H&M Malaysia’s VIP Launch Party

I really hate going down to KL during rush hours as I dislike sitting in the jam. However now and then comes along an event that I just can’t refuse. Yesterday evening (20 September 2012) was one of those times and I excitedly headed down to Lot 10 Shopping Centre for the H&M VIP launch party which saw it open its doors to more than one thousand of Kuala Lumpur’s hottest celebrities, personalities and members of the media for the exclusive pre-launch party of its first full concept store in Malaysia.

Guests were invited to shop (with a 20% discount storewide nonetheless!) in the brand spanking new 36,000 square feet store and we were treated to free-flowing champagne and delectable canapés. It was actually the first time that I’ve eaten and drank bubbly in a store as most stores usually do not allow it.

Most of the stuff was from H&M’s latest collections from the Autumn Winter 2012 range – which is described as ‘key looks for women showcase sleek and sculptural silhouettes matched with bold shapes and confident decoration while men can expect sharp-suited 60s silhouettes where layering, texture and colours bring tailoring traditions right into the 21st century’. Coupled with affordable prizes and guests were like little kids in a candy store!

There was quite a large range for men. Ranging from basic Ts which were going as low as RM19.90 (yes imagine that!) to jeans to casual wear to office wear and even footwear, underwear and accessories! Yes I think this is my new fav place to shop! Woo hoo!
