I Darts Quad Launch

Attended the I Darts Quad launch at Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara together with the girls from Malaysia’s Hottest Bloggers on 17 July 2012. Now what is I Darts you ask? I’ve been to the outlet in Scott Garden once before which is pretty happening! Do watch this video to get a better idea of what it’s all about.

The many dart machines there are driven by SEGA software, and are essentially high-tech dartboards that are networked globally, so you can play against people all over the world. You can also customize content, from backgrounds to insults while you are can get a card which keeps your statistics in the system so friends can check up your stats and challenge you, or you can log in at home and see people playing in real time. How is that achieved? Well each machine has a webcam! Imagine playing with a hot girl from Japan or Hong Kong!

I didn’t know how to use the machines but there are friendly female instructors on standby to teach you how to choose your game as well as teach you how to throw the darts. Among the many types of darting games was the usual 501 game, a couple of cricket games which are highly challenging, and my fav – the drinking games muahahaha!

I Darts Quad (and Hex) are Moet Hennessy Diageo outlets so you can find some good deals on their brands such as Johnnie Walker, Hennessy, Smirnoff and Moet Chandon.

As Sunway Giza is really near my house I headed over for happy hours with some friends sometime after the launch to check out the machines (the launch day was really happening and all the machines were being used so I didn’t really get a chance to play). It’s a fun and classy darts bar (not a smelly uncle pub with a dart board at the back) with good music spun by a DJ and is currently the best place in Malaysia to play electronic darts. Good place to chill with some friends over a couple of games of darts.
