Part 1 – Hennessy Artistry Penang June 2012
[Special Event]
Now I’ve been attending Hennessy Artistry parties since the very first one way back in April 2008. However I have never actually attended one out of KL so it was with much delight that I decided to join the trip up to Penang with the girls from Malaysia’s Hottest Bloggers in tow.
Drove down to KLIA with as many girls as I could fit into my car on 16 June 2012, parked my car then we eagerly hurried to meet the rest. Soon we were boarding the plane to Penang…
Sam, Ashley and Esther wide awake on a Saturday morning?Think again hahahahaha!Touched down in Penang and we were bundled into a bus and ferried over to Straits QuayFirst on the agenda – lunch at Blue Reef Fish & Chips!
Hungry faces – Anna with MHB’s Naomi and EstherThis was my lunch! The food there is good and I will definitely return. Then it was up to the Straits Quay Convention Centre after lunch. A group photo with the other bloggers and members of the media who came up from KL.
Then we were ushered into the event venue. First up was the lounge area with the mixing bars and interactive booths. If you look at the far left you’ll see the Hennessy 360 cam which my girls and I couldn’t get enough of at the Hennessy VSOP new bottle launch at Double Tree.MHB’s Chammaine, Magdeline, Esther, Ashley, Samantha and NaomiThe Hennessy girls which showed us how to mix the drinks. Something which I’m pretty adept at as I’ve had lots of practice at each Hennessy ArtistryLollipop F – the F stands for Four (4) as there are 4 members. The girls were quite excited to see them. The artistes for the night – Suki Low, Andy Moor, Lollipop F, Ernest C, Ramsey Westwood (L-R)I took the opportunity to take a pic with Suki and Andy Moor! After a couple of glasses of Hennessy it was over to G Hotel for some R&R and to get ready for the party. But of course you can’t party on an empty stomach so back we went to Straits Quay for dinner at Hisago Japanese Restaurant.Salmon sashimi, smoked duck, some other stuff and wagyu beef!!! I hope they open an outlet in KL as their food is delicious!
.
After the hearty dinner (always line your stomach with food before you drink as it will slow the absorption of alcohol and give you energy to party) it was time to head over to the convention centre for the party but I’ll leave that story for another post.
