Food Review – Muse, Jaya One

Malaysia’s Hottest Bloggers Erica Ting, Nicole Foong, Andy Kho and myself visited Muse at Jaya One, Petaling Jaya to try out their new food and beverage menu. Positioned as an Italian restaurant cum bar and club, this 3-in-1 entertainment outlet provides good food, good drinks and good music to boot!

Located at Jaya One which is the new food and happy hour hub of Petaling Jaya, Muse has a pretty swanky design with an entire glass wall made of Heineken bottles, a well stocked bar and a DJ console which doubles (or triples) up as a podium and bartop as well.

Here’s what went down…

How often do you find decent food at a club? Well at Muse you can have your cake and eat it!
The lounge and club area with the DJ console cum podium.
Salmon Pizza - salmon and lots of cheese! Slightly salty (from the salmon) but overall pretty good!
Teriyaki Pizza - Some fusion food? Works well with the East meets West flavours complementing each other.
Ravioli - pasta dough stuffed with seafood and topped with cream. Yummy!!!
Angel Hair Seafood Aglio Olio - RM28 - made specially for Nicole as it's one of her fav dishes (of course the rest of us curi quite a fair bit hahaha!)
Soft Shell Crab Pasta - this was my fav! I love soft shell crab and it went really well together with the pasta!
Gin and Tonic - Erica's fav
A citrusy cocktail - I didn't touch this one either. I'm not a fan of cocktails.
Cosmopolitan - Nicole had this one.
Lychee Martini - I had a sip of this and surprisingly it was quite nice. The rest was downed by Erica though.
Mojito - now this is one cocktail that I don't mind drinking. This one at Muse actually had blended mint to further enhance the minty flavour! Good refreshing drink with a kick!

Erica had a good time with all the cocktails.
With Muse owner Jo Vin who was kind enough to host us.
The satisfied faces of the girls (just look at all the empty plates!)

In conclusion, Muse is an ideal place to go if you’d like to start and end your night at the same place or if you’re simply looking for some good Italian food or to get together with some buddies for happy hour.
