JETOUR Malaysia officially launched the all-new JETOUR T1 in Malaysia on 22 July 2026. The JETOUR T1 is a compact C-segment SUV the brand is positioning for urban buyers, as the brand expands its lineup less than two years after entering the Malaysian market.
“The introduction of the JETOUR T1 marks another important step in JETOUR Malaysia’s long-term growth strategy as we continue to strengthen our SUV portfolio to meet the evolving needs of Malaysian consumers. We see tremendous opportunities in Malaysia’s SUV segment, where customers are seeking vehicles that combine sophisticated design, intelligent technologies and everyday practicality. The T1 has been developed to address these expectations while reinforcing our commitment to delivering products that are relevant to local lifestyles and creating greater value for our customers as we continue to grow our presence in the market.”
Mr. Nicholas Ng, Vice President of JETOUR Auto Malaysia
JETOUR, a brand under China’s Chery Group, entered the Malaysian market in April 2024. The T1 adds a second SUV nameplate to the brand’s local lineup as the company continues building out its dealer network, which it says now spans 43 authorised showrooms nationwide.
The T1 is built on a monocoque platform with a 2,800-millimeter wheelbase and is offered in four exterior colours: Khaki White, Aviation Silver, Sand Gold and Carbon Black. The company describes the exterior design as combining rounded, utilitarian styling cues with LED headlamps it calls a “Storm-Eye” design and a bold front grille.

JETOUR is offering the T1 in two versions. The base T1 1.5L TGDi 2WD is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 170 horsepower and 270 newton-meters of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. The T1 2.0L TGDi XWD steps up to a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 245 horsepower and 375 newton-meters of torque, paired with an all-wheel-drive system the company says is intended to improve traction in varying road and weather conditions.
Both variants share a similar list of interior features, including a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters, leatherette upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a voice assistant, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 50-watt wireless phone charger and seven USB ports. Both also come with rain-sensing wipers and a power-operated tailgate, features more commonly found on higher-priced SUVs in the segment.
The base 1.5-liter variant is equipped with 18-inch wheels, a 12.8-inch touchscreen display and an eight-speaker audio system. The 2.0-liter variant adds larger 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a power-adjustable front passenger seat with an extendable leg rest, a 15.6-inch touchscreen and a nine-speaker Sony-branded audio system.
On safety, JETOUR said both variants come equipped with six airbags, a Level 2 driver-assistance system and a 360-degree camera system. The company did not provide a detailed breakdown of which specific driver-assistance functions — such as adaptive cruise control or lane-keeping assistance — are included as part of that system. JETOUR said the T1 received a five-star rating from the ASEAN New Car Assessment Program, with an overall score of 87.67 points, a regional safety-testing standard used across Southeast Asian markets that evaluates factors including adult and child occupant protection and safety-assist technology.
JETOUR listed the T1 1.5L TGDi 2WD at RM129,800 and the T1 2.0L TGDi XWD at RM146,800, according to the company, with prices reflecting the net selling price for Peninsular Malaysia before registration fees, road tax and insurance. The company said the vehicle is backed by a seven-year or 150,000-kilometer vehicle warranty, a ten-year or 1,000,000-kilometer powertrain warranty, and five complimentary maintenance services — coverage terms JETOUR has used since entering Malaysia to differentiate itself from more established brands in the segment.
The JETOUR T1 is available for test drives and bookings at its 43 authorised showrooms nationwide. As part of an early-bird promotion, the company said the first 2,000 customers to register for the T1 will receive a RM2,000 rebate, along with financing rates starting from 1.68% per annum, subject to terms and conditions.
The T1’s launch gives JETOUR a second SUV nameplate in Malaysia since the brand entered the market in April 2024, and its pricing places it in a segment with established competition from other compact SUVs sold locally, both from mainstream Japanese and Korean brands and from other Chinese automakers that have entered Malaysia in recent years. Buyers comparing the T1 against those alternatives will likely weigh its warranty terms — a seven-year vehicle warranty and ten-year powertrain warranty are longer than what many competitors offer — against JETOUR’s shorter track record and smaller dealer network in the country.
For buyers new to the JETOUR brand, the T1’s launch also comes as the company is still building out its service infrastructure in Malaysia relative to longer-established automakers. A 43-outlet showroom network gives the brand a wider footprint than it had at its April 2024 launch.
The choice between the two T1 variants largely comes down to whether a buyer prioritises all-wheel-drive capability and additional comfort features over a lower purchase price. The 2.0-liter all-wheel-drive variant carries a roughly RM17,000 premium over the base front-wheel-drive model, a gap that also brings a larger touchscreen, a sunroof and a premium audio system, among other additions — features that may matter more to some buyers than the drivetrain difference itself, particularly since Malaysia’s roads rarely demand all-wheel drive. Buyers who mainly drive in urban or highway conditions may find the base variant meets their needs, while those who value the added traction or the additional equipment may prefer the higher trim.
