Lotus Cars Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., part of the Karrus Automotive Group, introduced the MY27 versions of the all-electric Eletre and Emeya models in Malaysia on 17 March 2026. The updated vehicles feature enhanced luxury and driver-focused equipment, aligning with the company’s push to expand its presence in Malaysia.
More than 300 Eletre and Emeya units have been delivered to owners nationwide, marking a notable milestone for Lotus in Malaysia. The company reports steady growth in demand for its electric performance vehicles, with local buyers increasingly seeking alternatives to traditional internal combustion engine cars.
The Eletre and Emeya models have established a presence in Malaysia’s luxury car market, where buyers often prioritise exclusivity, advanced technology and driving engagement. Lotus’s decision to update these models reflects its strategy to remain competitive in a segment that values both performance and cutting-edge design.
Eletre 600: redesigned electric SUV
The Eletre 600, an all-electric hyper-SUV, combines a bold design with advanced aerodynamics. In its MY27 iteration, it delivers 450 kilowatts (603 horsepower) through a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, paired with an 112 kilowatt-hour battery that provides a range of up to 580 kilometers. The model offers both high performance and practical usability, targeting buyers seeking an electric vehicle that balances power with everyday functionality.
Engineered to deliver strong acceleration and responsive handling, the Eletre 600 is designed for drivers who want electric performance without sacrificing the versatility of an SUV. Its spacious interior and advanced technology features cater to owners who prioritise comfort and modern amenities, while its bold styling makes it a standout in its category.
The Eletre’s muscular stance and aerodynamic features are engineered to enhance stability and efficiency at high speeds. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system provides strong traction and dynamic control, reinforcing Lotus’s reputation for precision engineering in its performance vehicles.
Emeya 600: electric grand tourer
The Emeya 600 serves as Lotus’s all-electric hyper-GT, blending sporty design with performance. Designed as a high-performance grand tourer, it features advanced aerodynamics, a technology-focused interior and a refined driving experience. The Emeya is built for those who value long-distance comfort without compromising on speed or handling.
The model’s sleek silhouette and lightweight construction contribute to its dynamic driving characteristics, making it a strong contender in the luxury electric vehicle segment. Its balance of power and refinement aligns with the expectations of buyers in Malaysia’s growing market for premium electric vehicles.
The Emeya’s interior is crafted with premium materials, including Nappa leather and configurable ambient lighting, creating an environment that emphasises both luxury and driver engagement. Its advanced aerodynamics are optimised for efficiency and stability, ensuring a smooth and controlled ride on Malaysian roads.
The MY27 Eletre and Emeya include a revised standard-equipment list:
- An active rear spoiler, which improves high-speed stability and adds a sporty visual element.
- Nappa leather seats with dark tri-colour seatbelts, elevating the cabin’s luxury and comfort.
- Configurable ambient lighting, allowing owners to personalise the vehicle’s interior atmosphere.
Larger wheel options are now available: 22 inches for the Eletre and 21 inches for the Emeya, paired with Pirelli P Zero tires and six-piston brake calipers in black or red. These upgrades enhance both the visual appeal and performance capabilities of the models.
Other standard features include adaptive air suspension with continuous damping control, a KEF audio system, four-zone climate control, a 29-inch head-up display and matrix LED headlights. These technologies are designed to provide a balance of comfort, convenience and driving engagement.
The adaptive air suspension system automatically adjusts ride height and damping based on road conditions, offering a smoother ride and better handling. The KEF premium audio system delivers high-fidelity sound, while the matrix LED headlights provide enhanced visibility and a modern aesthetic.
“The introduction of the MY27 Eletre and Emeya reflects our continued commitment to bringing Lotus’s electric performance vehicles to Malaysia. With more than 300 Lotus electric vehicles on the road here, we see a growing brand presence and an expanding community of owners who share a passion for Lotus driving.”

Membership in the club offers access to exclusive events, technical workshops and social gatherings, fostering a sense of community among Lotus drivers.
The club’s events often include track days, scenic drives and social gatherings, allowing owners to experience their vehicles in different settings while building connections with fellow enthusiasts. Lotus’s community-focused approach aims to create lasting relationships between the brand and its customers.
“Lotus ownership has always been about more than just the cars—it’s about the people and the passion behind them. We’ve seen more like-minded individuals come together to build friendships, share experiences and strengthen the Lotus community in Malaysia.”
Chang Chew Soon, president of the Lotus Official Club Malaysia
The MY27 Eletre 600 starts at 499,000 ringgit. The MY27 Emeya 600 begins at 489,000 ringgit. Both models are available in core colours such as Zenith White, Kaimu Grey and Stellar Black, as well as special options including Galloway Green, Boreal Grey, Fireglow Orange and Solar Yellow.
The arrival of the MY27 Lotus Eletre 600 and Emeya 600 coincides with a period of transformation in Malaysia’s automotive landscape, particularly as the country embraces electric mobility. As consumer interest in sustainable yet high-performance vehicles grows, these models expand Lotus’s luxury and performance offerings, presenting an alternative for buyers interested in premium electric vehicles. By combining advanced technology, performance, and design, the Eletre 600 and Emeya 600 contribute to the evolving diversity of the supercar segment in Malaysia.
The introduction of these models also reflects broader industry trends, where traditional supercar manufacturers are increasingly integrating electric powertrains into their lineups.
