The Exchange TRX Honours Tradition and Togetherness with ‘Rimbun Raya’

The Exchange TRX’s Hari Raya campaign – Rimbun Raya, was officially launched by Trevor Hill, General Manager, Selwyn Chiu, Assistant Centre Manager, Eza Rahman, Assistant Centre Manager and Jessica Leong, Head of Marketing at The Exchange TRX on 3 March 2026

The Exchange TRX has launched its Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri campaign for 2026, titled Rimbun Raya — a name drawn from the Malay word rimbun, evoking the image of lush, flourishing growth. Running until 5 April 2026, the campaign reimagines the mall’s Central Exchange as an immersive festive environment inspired by the visual and spiritual language of traditional Malay culture, rendered through a contemporary design sensibility.

The installation at Central Exchange takes traditional Malay architecture as its starting point — graceful arches, balanced symmetry, and geometric motifs typically associated with heritage craftsmanship — and reinterprets them through a modern lens. Cascading greenery threads through the space, softening the geometry and reinforcing the campaign’s central metaphor of abundance and warmth. The result is designed to work from multiple vantage points, offering the kind of layered, visually rich environment that rewards exploration as much as a single establishing shot.

“This campaign reflects our commitment to honouring Hari Raya through an experience that feels both meaningful and contemporary. Beyond the immersive décor, our collaboration with PSJK enables us to contribute to the local creative community while celebrating the richness of Malay heritage. Rimbun Raya captures the beauty of the transition from reflection to celebration, creating a welcoming space where families, friends, and communities can come together to mark this special season.”

Beyond the decorative, Rimbun Raya carries a substantive community dimension. The Exchange TRX has partnered with Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif Malaysia (PSJK) as part of its CSR initiative — an organisation dedicated to preserving and promoting Malay textile artistry and traditional needlework. PSJK will host a dedicated booth at Central Exchange throughout the campaign period, with proceeds directed toward its mentorship programme for local craftspeople. It is a collaboration that gives the campaign some grounding beyond the festive retail occasion, linking the aesthetic language of the installation to a genuine effort to sustain the traditional skills that inspired it

The campaign brings together a curated mix of brand activations, dining experiences, and a tiered redemption programme for shoppers.

At Central Exchange, L’Oréal Luxe will host a beauty showcase featuring YSL Beauty, Armani Beauty, and Lancôme alongside homegrown wellness brand Puras, which will offer up to 58% off curated bundles, complimentary gifts with a minimum spend of RM150, and an additional 10% off selected bundles with any purchase.

Fashion label Mimpikita presents its ‘Tumbuh’ Raya 2026 collection in collaboration with KITA&CO — a showcase built around themes of growth, renewal, and modern femininity. Pandora offers Buy 2 Free 1 and Buy 3 Free 2 promotions on selected festive items.

On the dining front, Café Colombo is running ‘Kenduri Colombo’, an all-you-can-eat feast centred on Sri Lankan cuisine, priced at RM99 per adult and RM59 per child under 12. It is a notably different flavour in a season dominated by Malay and Nusantara cooking, and likely to appeal to those looking for something a little less predictable at the Raya table.

Shoppers can participate in a spend-and-redeem programme running across three tiers. A single receipt of RM300 qualifies for a Rimbun Raya Packet; two receipts totalling RM3,000 unlock a Festive Afternoon Tea Stand; and three receipts totalling RM10,000 earn a Premium Puras Ramadan Gift Set.

Rimbun Raya runs at The Exchange TRX, Persiaran TRX, Kuala Lumpur, until 5 April 2026. For more info, head over to http://www.theexchange.my
