As aviation enthusiasts gear up for one of Asia’s premier aerospace gatherings, the Singapore Airshow 2026 at Changi Exhibition Centre from 3 – 8 February 2026 is set to deliver eight dynamic aerial displays from six air forces and two leading commercial manufacturers. This lineup blends cutting-edge military might with commercial innovation, drawing crowds to witness precision aerobatics over Singapore’s skyline.
Now in its 11th edition since 2008, the biennial airshow has evolved into a key platform for the Asia-Pacific aerospace sector, fostering deals worth billions and showcasing technological leaps. This year’s flying program underscores robust international collaboration, particularly among Southeast Asian neighbors.
A standout debut belongs to the Royal Australian Air Force’s F-35A Lightning II, a stealthy fifth-generation multirole fighter renowned for its sensor fusion, supercruise capability up to Mach 1.6, and advanced avionics. Its appearance signals growing interoperability in the region, especially amid evolving Indo-Pacific security dynamics.
Regional highlights return with flair. The Royal Malaysian Air Force’s Sukhoi Su-30MKM – a twin-engine heavyweight with thrust-vectoring nozzles enabling supermaneuverability – will thrill once more, as it did in 2016 and 2018. Based at Kuantan Air Base, this Flanker derivative equips No. 17 Squadron and has participated in joint exercises like Malaysia’s Bersama Shield with Singapore. For Malaysians in the audience, many commuting from Johor across the Causeway, it’s a point of national pride just 40 minutes from the venue.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force anchors the host performance with its Integrated Display Team, pairing the agile F-16C Fighting Falcon – a workhorse with over 40 years of service in RSAF squadrons – and the AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopter, famed for its Hellfire missile precision and night-fighting radar. This tandem demo highlights the RSAF’s emphasis on joint operations, a nod to Singapore’s compact yet high-tech air defense strategy protecting its bustling air hub.
Other military acts include the Indian Air Force’s Sarang team, masters of synchronized HAL Dhruv helicopter formations; Indonesia’s Jupiter squadron in their KT-1B trainers; and China’s Bayi Aerobatic Team, flying Chengdu J-10C fighters in razor-sharp patterns.
Commercial aviation takes center stage too, with Airbus’ A350-1000 returning to demonstrate its composite airframe efficiency and 11G structural strength, ideal for long-haul routes connecting Singapore to Europe. COMAC’s C919, China’s challenger to Boeing and Airbus in the single-aisle market, will showcase its CFM LEAP-1C engines and fly-by-wire controls, reflecting Beijing’s push into global passenger jet sales amid COMAC’s recent certifications.
“The flying displays are always among the most anticipated highlights of the Singapore Airshow and the 2026 line-up reflects the strong international support for the event. We are pleased to present a diverse mix of military and commercial aircraft that showcases both cutting-edge technology and the skill of aircrew from around the world. We look forward to welcoming industry professionals, aviation enthusiasts and the public to enjoy these spectacular aerial performances.”
Mr Leck Chet Lam, Managing Director of Experia Events, the show’s organiser
Displays run daily at 12:00pm on February 3, 11:00am on 4 & 5 February, and twice at 11:00am and 3:30pm on 7 & 8 February during the public-focused Weekend@Airshow. Weather or operational needs may alter timings; visitors should monitor singaporeairshow.com.sg for updates.
The static park expands the experience with over 35 aircraft, including business jets from Bombardier, Gulfstream, and Dassault; regional favorites like Embraer’s E-Jets and Pilatus PC-12; plus unmanned systems and military hardware from the RSAF, German Luftwaffe, RAAF, and USAF. This display allows close-up views of innovations driving the industry’s projected $4.7 trillion market through 2043, per Cirium forecasts.
For Singaporeans and the 500,000+ expected attendees – the event reinforces Changi Airport’s status as a global aviation nexus. Malaysians, with strong bilateral defense ties via the Five Power Defence Arrangements, will undoubtedly appreciate the Malaysian Su-30MKM’s showcase alongside assets from various nations.
