Royal Salute has launched its latest Lunar New Year Special Edition, marking the upcoming Year of the Horse with a distinctive gift pack centered around its flagship 21 Year Old Signature Blend.

The release, themed “Ignite the New Year,” showcases original artwork by award-winning British artist Emily Carter, whose design integrates traditional Lunar New Year symbolism with elements reflecting the brand’s royal heritage. The packaging features blooms, fireworks, butterflies, cranes, peonies, and festive lanterns alongside lions and imagery of the Tower of London.

Carter, recognised for her nature-inspired designs and artisanal approach, has created a visual narrative that the brand says represents energy, good fortune, and prosperity—themes central to Lunar New Year celebrations.

The limited edition continues Royal Salute’s tradition of releasing collectible Lunar New Year gift packs, positioning this year’s offering as an addition for enthusiasts and collectors of the series.

At the heart of the presentation is Royal Salute’s 21 Year Old Signature Blend, a whisky first crafted seven decades ago. The blend features notes of ripened fruits with spiced undertones, delivering what the brand describes as a rich and velvety-smooth profile. The whisky is presented in the brand’s signature ruby red flagon, designed to evoke the precious stones of the Imperial State Crown.

Royal Salute was originally created in 1953 as a tribute to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, taking its name from the 21-gun salute that honoured the occasion. The brand maintains that all its expressions begin at a minimum age of 21 years.

The Royal Salute 21 Year Old Lunar New Year Special Edition is available in Malaysia at selected premium retail outlets, liquor stores, and through the official Pernod Ricard Malaysia Shopee Store, with a recommended retail price of RM816.
