vivo Launches X300 Series in Malaysia

vivo Malaysia has launched its flagship X300 series smartphones, marking the company’s 30th anniversary with what it calls a breakthrough in mobile photography technology.

The vivo X300 and X300 Pro, unveiled on 13 November 2025, feature a 200-megapixel ZEISS Ultra-Clear Imaging system that the company claims sets a new standard for smartphone cameras. In a first for Southeast Asia, vivo livestreamed its entire launch event using the X300 Pro itself, demonstrating the device’s imaging capabilities in real-time concert settings.

The X300 Pro’s standout feature is its 200MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera, which incorporates the upgraded Ultra-Sensing Sensor HPB. The device also includes a 50MP ZEISS Gimbal-Grade Main Camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor and industry-leading CIPA 5.5-rated stabilisation, designed to deliver sharper images with reduced motion blur.

The standard X300 model features a 200MP ZEISS Main Camera with the same Ultra-Sensing Sensor HPB and CIPA 4.5-rated stabilisation. Both phones have been upgraded to include a 50MP ZEISS Wide-Angle Front Camera with autofocus capability.

Additionally, both models are compatible with the vivo ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Extender Kit, an accessory aimed at users who frequently photograph concerts, sporting events, or distant subjects.

The devices introduce Stage Mode 2.0, which enables 4K Stage All-in-One Recording, allowing users to capture high-definition photos while simultaneously recording video. The Dual-View Stage Video feature lets users employ any two cameras at once, capturing both the user and performers in a single frame during live events.

For professional videographers, both models support 4K 120fps Pro Video. The X300 Pro extends this capability further with 4K 120fps Dolby Vision Video and 4K 120fps 10-bit Log Video on both main and telephoto cameras, providing greater dynamic range and post-production flexibility.

The series also incorporates AI-powered features through the AI Image Studio, including AI One-Shot Multi-Crop for automatic composition generation, AI Landscape Master for image enhancement in challenging conditions, and Live Photo Passerby Erase for removing unwanted elements from photos.

Alongside the hardware, vivo introduced OriginOS 6 to the Malaysian market. The operating system features Ultra-core Computing, Memory Fusion, and Dual Rendering engines, which the company says optimise performance from computing and storage through to display.

The system includes Origin Island for intelligent suggestions and real-time reminders, while the vivo Office Kit enables cross-device productivity through phone-to-PC mirroring, file transfer, remote control, and multi-device note synchronisation. The vivo Security framework consolidates privacy features, including Private Space with hardware-level encryption for sensitive files.

Notably, vivo has committed to five years of OS upgrades for the X300 series, extending software support beyond typical industry standards.

Both phones are powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset, jointly developed by vivo and MediaTek using TSMC’s N3P process. The processor features a third-generation all-big-core CPU and a 12-core G1-Ultra GPU.

The BlueVolt Battery System combines fourth-generation silicon anode technology with semi-solid electrolyte materials. The X300 Pro houses a 6,510mAh battery, while the X300 offers 6,040mAh. Both support 90W FlashCharge and 40W wireless charging.

The displays use 8T LTPO technology with up to 2,000 nits global peak brightness and employ 2160Hz Full-Range Luminance PWM Dimming for eye protection.

The X300 series features a Unibody 3D Glass Design with rear coral velvet glass. The standard X300 has a compact 6.31-inch flat display, weighing 190 grams at 7.95mm thick. The X300 Pro offers a larger 6.78-inch flat display in a 7.99mm body.

Colour options for the X300 include Phantom Black, Mist Blue, and Halo Pink. The X300 Pro is available in Phantom Black, Mist Blue, and Dune Brown.

The vivo X300 starts at RM3,899 for the 16GB+512GB configuration, while the X300 Pro begins at RM4,699 for the same storage option. Pre-orders are available until 21 November 2025 at vivo Concept Stores and online at vivo.com/my, with early adopters receiving gifts valued up to RM2,872.

Various financing options are available, including installment plans through Public Bank, OCBC Bank, UOB, AmBank, and Affin Bank, as well as Buy Now, Pay Later options through SPayLater and PayLater by Grab. Trade-in programs offering up to RM300 additional rebates will run from 22 November 2025, to 4 January 2026.

The company is continuing its collaboration with artists such as Accusefive, following its presence at the KFinity Music Festival, positioning the X300 series as what it calls “the ultimate concert phone.”
