Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur has received one Michelin key in the Michelin Guide’s first hotel ratings for Malaysia, announced on 14 October 2025. The distinction places the property among an elite group of just four hotels in the country to earn the prestigious recognition.
The Michelin key system, introduced by the renowned guide as a companion to its established restaurant star ratings, evaluates hotels across five criteria: architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, personality and character, value for price, and significant contribution to the local setting. A one-key designation signifies “a true gem with personality,” where “service always goes the extra mile.”
“We are extremely honoured to receive one of the first Michelin keys in Malaysia. It’s a proud moment for our entire team, who work tirelessly each day to craft extraordinary stays for guests and continually raise the bar for luxury hospitality in the region.”
General Manager Simon Barnett
The Michelin Guide’s review highlighted the hotel’s prime location and distinctive features: “Steps from the breathtaking Petronas Towers and KLCC Park, an adjacent marvel of landscape design, Four Seasons offers a range of guest rooms, distinguished by skyline, park, or pool-garden views, each featuring a surfeit of natural light complementing pearl accent flooring and paintings from local artists.”
The guide also recognised the property’s dining venues, including Curate with its modern open-air kitchens and Yun House, which serves upscale Cantonese cuisine and has been selected by Michelin for its restaurant guide.
Situated in Malaysia’s capital, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur serves as an upscale destination for accommodations, dining, and events. The property features thoughtfully designed rooms, exclusive suites, and luxury apartments equipped with private kitchens, living rooms, and dedicated service.
The hotel’s concierge team, recognised with the Golden Keys designation, provides guests with curated access to Kuala Lumpur’s attractions through customised excursions and personalised itineraries.
The Michelin key award affirms the hotel’s position within the international luxury hospitality sector, recognising its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through design, service standards, and attention to detail.
